NLTHGB 0
25/50 NLIn BB, check around to SB, he raises to 100 (minimum). i decide to raise back at him to 250, (i am big stack at about 15xBB, SB at about 10xBB)he calls(hed been playing aggressive all night). flop comes Q7J rainbow. he checks i bet 300, thinking that he raised minimum preflop because he had something like K10 or K9, or something with an ace. then, he raises back at me all in for bout 600. i call and he flips over JJ. i hit nothing on either the turn or flop. should i have done aything different? Eskimo 0
I think you had to fold there. Its obvious he's not blufing, and you must ask yourself, 'Is top pair the best?' Most likely not. I would've probaly put him on 77 or QJ. Most people would've re-raised you preflop with JJ.
Smasharoo 0
should i have done aything different? Not really. You could fold the flop bet, but it's close, there's a lot of moey at stake. You'd think he'd have popped you again PF with QQ KK or AA so the only hands you're really worried about are JJ 77 or JQ.So much money is in before his bet here that you almost have to call the flop bet. With his bet there's what, 1400 or so in there? You're pretty committed to call it. It's a good bet on his part and good call on yours, just worked out for him this time.If he had bet 2000 it's a clear fold.
