Probably should have raised or call/raised the turn but I was hoping to keep lots of people in. Didn't bet the River for fear of the flush. Really no need to be scared of it, it was runner-runner, and it was capped on the flop, i dont see that many cases of a flush hereAnd yeahturn I kinda like just calling, raising almost gives away the str8, let the 2 riases keep firing at eachotherbet river

I just thought rasing the turn would slow down pretty much everyone w/o a 9, If i was in this hand now re-thinking it, I woulda 3 bet it once the button raisedand again, no need to be scared of back door flush on this hand, bet river

you're dong a good job of ignoring the diamond draw that people could very well be drawing to. plus, I would be concious of the backdoor draw since people who are gong for it are priced in. YOu need to protect your hand in this massive pot by doing lots of raising, you don't want to keep people in, you want to maximize your chances of winning the pot

I don't understand this line of reasoning. Based on the action, how does raising the turn protect your hand? At all? There are 17 bets in before turn action begins. If UTG magically tossed in 4 bets (and then stole one, while nobody was looking) a diamond draw would STILL be able to cold-call in his sleep here. And I disagree that our concern here is "maximizing our chances of winning the pot." We're trying to make the pot as big as we can make it w/o hurting our chances of losing the pot. There's a slight difference. I think.Ice

Yeah i dont think many people would fold if OP raised the turn, but If he did, the chaser(s) would of called probably, and the 70%-ish time where the board doesnt pair and diamonds dont come, youre going to win a bigger pot.....right?
