Local Tournament..... 50 players, down to the final table -- only pay 5 spotsBlinds 200-400 with 50 dollar antes. Middle Postion player raises to 1200 in chips, next player smooth calls 1200 preflop raise, i look down in the big blind with Pocket jacks. I decide to reraise all in because i want all the money in the middle and know that unless they have monsters, they have to fold because i have them both covered. First raiser thinks about it for awhile and at this point i put him on 9's or 10's and hoping he calls. well after stalling for like 3-4 mins, he finally folds, the next player also hems and haws and decides to call. first raiser flips up his hand and reveals that he folded pocket 10's and the called see's that and frowns and flips up ( you guessed it ) pocket 10's. i flip up my jacks happy as can be because 1. there are no more 10's in the deck and 2. i have each of the same suits as his 10's so there is no backdoor possibilitys for him. well the flop comes 8,6,2 -- turn 9 -- river 7.... yes sir. its something i see on the internet all the time but that was one of the most brutal beats ive ever taken, looked up the percentages, after the flop i was something like a 98.7% favorite. after losing that hand i was very very shortstacked and got knocked out soon afterward.....
