I have a question for those that use pokertracker. I just started using it recently and have around 2,000 played limit holdem hands in it. While looking it over last night I was kinda suprised to see that my biggest net losing hand was QQ followed by JTos and then AKos. My question is am I overplaying these hands if there showing a pretty big loss at the moment or is 2,000 hands not big enough to show there strenght? IAlso anyone know of a good poker tracker tutorial site for some of the not so obvious stats and colomns and how to use that info to improve your game? Thanks for any and all insight you all might have 8)

Use the pokertracker forum; they have alot of good advice. As for QQ being a losing hand, you don't have a big enough hand sample yet.I have about 13,000 hand histories and it's still a small amount. I think i remember hearing 100,000 and you will be pin point accurate. 10,000-20,000 and you start to get a good idea. The hands I win the most money with are: AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, and AK...And I play them all very aggressively.

With over 100k hands in AKo and QQ are the 8th and 3rd most profitable hands for me playing limit.Your sample size is just small and shows the variance inherent in holdem.I still have 88 outpreforming 99 after 100k hands, which it clearly shouldn't be based on raw EV.I cap with QQ and call three cold with AK, so I doub't you're overplaying them unless you're going to the river with unimproved AK blindly.

I will be releasing a new program shortly that does everything PT does and much more, including automatic hand history collection from multiple tablesreal time updates to the data baseautomatic display of key stats for players at your tableThe most important feature will be collections of hand histories at each stake level and mode of play (tourney vs ring). You cant possibly collect enough histories on any individual player to get statistically valid results on your own. We have teams of history collectors that will monitor covered sites 24/7. YOU will be on that data base. You should know as much about your opponents as they do about you.If you are interested in beta testing the program for a free copy and a one year subscription to hand histories for one site/one stakes level, message me. This is your chance to get exactly what you want to see in a reasonably priced, site-legal program.
