I started playing the 15/30 today because I have been running so hot at the 10/20. Players in question are both loose and passive.15/30 (6 handed)I get K ,Q on the button2 folds, CO calls, I raise, SB folds, BB calls.Flop is A ,5 ,7 (6sb)check, check, I bet, both call.Turn is the K (4.5BB)check, check, bet, call, call.river is the 4 (7BB)BB checks, CO bets, I fold...Who checks the flop?Who calls the river?

I'd bet the flop, he seems to have either taken a wa/wb line or caught a flush/2 pair. Folding the river probably isnt bad.

What does betting the flop accomplish against two loose/passive players?I'm in position and can take a free card...im not sure which is best, though.

Continuation bet, looks very weak to raise PF and check when an A hits. Plus you probably have the best hand here with K high, or could drive a small pp or 7s or something off their hand by betting the A. I dunno I'm suckin it up right now, probably don't listen much to me.

idiot:Are you calling a nonheart river if bet into on the river? I'm checking the flop. I would ask myself (and I suppose I'm asking you) What is the purpose of a flop bet? You don't have a hand that you are protecting. You aren't betting it for value, and I'm guessing that someone who called your pf raise will likely call one bet on the flop. At 15/30 I would also imagine that it's possible that BB or cutoff may try to trap you on this flop considering you showed agression PF... maybe they are looking for a check-raise here, which I don't think is what you want.As for the idea of a necessary continuation bet, you have position, and you don't need to do so here IMHO. Instead of the continuation bet option, you are able to choose the free card option, which considering you don't have much of a hand, I would say is a better idea. As an added bonus, when you check the flop, then, when you bet the offsuit King on the turn, you also have a better chance of pushing villain off the odds to draw with 1 card left (right???).I dunno, I don't play at those limits, but that's probably what I'd do.

As an added bonus, when you check the flop, then, when you bet the offsuit King on the turn, you also have a better chance of pushing villain off the odds to draw with 1 card left (right???). Nah, he's still getting 5 to 1.

EDIT:Are you sure about that Smash? It looks to me like it would only be 5 to 1 if you checked the flop, bet the turn, and already had 1 caller going into the dude who was on a draw.Checking the flop, it would be 3BB going into the turn, you bet making it 4, and one caller would make it 5...By betting on the flop, it's already 5.5BB when you bet the turn.
