I am relatively new to poker. Have heard several people talking about taking notes on online players. What kind of notes are people taking? How detailed? Is it as simple as noting if they are lousy players, highly agressive, etc. or is there more to it? Thanks for the advice.

Well on sites like PokerStars you can click on a player your playing with and jot down a few things for future reference

With Pokertracker I can record every hand a player I'm intrested in having data on plays, the percentage they see the flop, raise, see showdowns, how much they win or lose, etc.
