$10 rebuy tourny on PS... At level 2 or 3 so it's still in the re-buy madness phase. I'm table chip leader with about 14K, playing tight and have been getting some respect from most players. I have JJ UTG and make a standard raise... 3 callers including two guys with around 12K, not who I wanted to play against but that's life. Flop comes something like 8

... which is great so far. I bet the pot and it ends up 3-way with both of the other big stacks. Turn comes 9
, definitely a scare card. Since it's 3-way i decide to check and see what my opponents do (maybe a mistake, but I play cautiously early in re-buy tournys). The next player bets 3600 into a 2500 pot and the other guy folds and I go into the think tank. The bet screams of a steal to me... the only hand I could put him on that really scared me was 77, or a set (A7s was possible, but not many people call preflop raises from UTG with it). I think with a straight he would bet less than the pot to increase the chances of a call and with a set he'd of protected his hand on the flop (club flush and straight draws were there). Everything about the situation makes me think he's buying the pot... so I go over the top all-in. He calls immediately to my horror, but I am relieved to see that all he's got is A9o for TPTK. My jacks are good and I'm feeling great about my decision... BOOM! River comes 9 and gives him a miracle triple.Just goes to show that sometimes it doesn't matter how good you play if the poker gods are out to get you.weathermaniaps. the same guy doubled me up twice after the break, so I'm still alive and kicking.pss. he just knocked me out! We both had around 10K chips (him slightly more) and he goes all in UTG. I call with KK, he turns over 66, sweet! Flop... 6 4 3... end of story.
