In Vegas I won a small tournament ($6K) and headed over to the Bellagio to meet friends. After we parted I walked by a 3 card poker table and said to myself gotta find out what this is all about. Sat down played a few hands. Anyways there is NO SKILL involved just a casino game with probably 1-2% house advantage. I vaguely remember that you are supposed to bet any hand better than Q-T and fold everything else. Anyways I throw in another $10 bet look at my 3 cards 9-T-J hearts a 3 card straight flush, and took the $500 and took that as a sign that my 3 card poker career is now over, curiousity issue solved..

I can't stand Let it Ride or 3-Card Poker. Waste of money. After hitting a straight flush last week, I am loving Carribbean Stud more than ever.Has anyone ever heard of a table game called Boston 5-Card Stud? They had one table at the Rio, and it was a blast. I am wondering if any other casinos have it?

How can you hate 3-card poker and love Caribbean Stud? 3-card is just a newer variation of Caribbrean. It's virtually the same game. In fact, it has a lower house edge that Caribbrean Stud. But hey, I guess we each define what a waste of money is for ourselves.Oh, and in 3-card poker, you should raise anything better than Q-6-4.

Yes, the games are very similar. The only reason I really "hate" the game, or avoid playng it, is because I never win a thing on those tables....I have taken home more around $15,000 on the Caribbean Stud tables though, so I have a tendency to lean towards that game. All those games have a large house advantage and are generally a waste of time, until that one time you get lucky of course :club:

Like I said, we each define what we consider a waste of money for ourselves. I was being sincere in that. I consider Baccarat a waste of money because I don't care of the game but it's one of the best bets in any casino. Some food for thought though:Caribbean Stud: House Edge = 5.22%3-Card Poker:Ante-Bet House Edge = 3.37%Pairs Plus House Edge = 2.32%And I think we all know how bad a bet the bonuses in any table game are.Having said that, my favorite table game (after blackjak) has quickly become Let It Ride. Not sure why as it's a pretty big money waster too but I tend to have fun with it.

3 Card Poker has been around for sometime."They" have changed the way they deal the cards now... BIGGER house edge. They now deal three cards at one time and they used to deal one card at a time. Believe it or not the house edge is alot greater then 1-2%... more like 7% or more. Several years ago.. .when they dealt one card at a time ... .I won quite a bit..... not anymore... .I am lucky to even get a pair.Straight Flush pays 40 to 1 plus ante bonusThree of a kind pay 30 to 1 plus ante bonusStraight pays 6 to 1 plus ante bonusFlush pays 3 to 1 Pair pays even moneyHigh card that beats the dealer depending on how you bet and if the dealer qualifies... you get paid on your pay bet .. your ante bet and your Pairs Plus bet is surrendered.Trust me I know this game in and out..... The secret is doubling your ante bet .... so that you actually might win some money.. when you beat the dealer with out a pair or better. :club:

I have just recently started playing Baccarat , and I enjoy it. Essentially, 3-card poker, Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud, etc. are all just nice distractions for you to lose your money at. They can be a nice break from Blackjack, Craps, and Bacarrat....I just can't sit and play poker all day anymore when I hit up the casinos, I just like to mix it up every once in a while. That really just makes me a bigger idiot though since I can usually make money on the poker tables, only to turn around and give it back on craps or some other game. I need to learn just to stick to poker!

I prefer three card poker ove let it ride any day of the week. It's a nice warm-up game before I head over to the craps or blackjack table. I tend to get to a casino earlier in the day to get the lower table minimum's so I can play one hand for 15 buck total, 5 ante, 5 pair plus, 5 play. The best hand I have ever hit was three jacks, but I know people who have gone on runs with flushes and straights. I also don't think the house advantage is that high as long as you play with Q-6-4 or better. The dealer needs at least a Q to qualify so you have one of their "outs."Generally speaking I break even during the session, so take that for what its worth.

Stop arguing about the house edge. It depends on the payouts, which vary from casino to casino.http://wizardofodds.com/threecardpokerLast time I was in Vegas, I kept getting 3 of a kind at the MGM. Had a long, fun night of drinking constantly, betting dark (myself and two other guys from Minnesota) and ridiculously making money. Fun game, but in the long haul a waste of money. There is no strategy as stated before. Q64 or higher, bet.

Same song and dance here, last two trips to Brantford / NIagara, I've got a 30 minute table wait, sit down to play some Caribbean Stud and lose 50-100... Get on my table, make 200-250$ playing 2-5 limit over 5-6 hours, get ready to leave and sit down at Caribbean, hoping to hit the 250k+ jackpot... deposit the rest of my winnings into the casino, for total trip profit of $0.00, and $0.00/hour win rate... And yet I can't stay away from it... thank heavens that online casinos have no waiting time, and no table games as the only nearby forms of entertainment.Edit: Brilliant postthought... casinos should have a Golden Tee machine or two in the Poker waiting area, they would make a FORTUNE! Casino could even jack up the price a little bit to compensate for lost gambling revenue, and I bet you'd still get enough action!!

I decided it was evil the time I bet my last five dollars and my brother decided not to loan me five more for the pair plus, only to hit a straight flush and make $40 insted of $200. Evil, evil game.

At least they don't burn any cards off of the top of the deck, or between hands. That would give them a HUGE additional edge.

I like Let it Ride. At least, it's my favorite time filler. I hit a straight flush to the K and won a few grand. I had Kh Jh Th in the hole, and the first card up was the Qh. I was so concerned with the royal, that I didn't realize what I had hit when the 9h popped. Ever since then, I always play at least a few hands before hitting the poker room. My father in law loves 3 card poker, and he got me slightly addicted to it for a short while, but it went away fast.

I'm going to start bumping threads with a copy/paste of this comment.
12. When menstruating, use a product that right for your menstrual flow. A tampon too big can irritate and develop fungus. A product left in too long can cause bacteria or fungus build up. Products can be changed at least every 4 hours. Except when sleeping, they can be left in for the night
