The first hand complete is weak. Would you call on the button with this hand? I probably fold this most of the time. The only exception would be in a very multi-way pot.Otherwise, well played.the second hand is obvious.

TJ, check your stats from the downswing. That J-8 was a pretty loose call. There might be some other hands like that in the swing.

Are you seriously telling me you think your pot equity with J8 aginst two limps and a random hand is *less* than 12%??

Glad I started a controversy.I dunno. Is it even close, or is it really that weak? 2 limps, and the basic loose passive run of the mill big blind... meh.I was very pleased I correctly 3 bet the turn though... all for naught. Sigh. Down 50ish bucks today too.

Folding J8 for half a bet is just bad. The same way you wouldn't play 39s on the button, but you would complete with it, you should complete with J8.7 to 1 guys.

Smash, I double checked SSHE. It doesn't make the grade. However, as I'm way too sure you know, SSHE recommends some flexibility in starting requirements based on the table and your skill post-flop.You probably have several 100k hands + experience on me. So for you I'd say it's a call. For me, who is much less experienced, it's an easy fold. I - at this point - am not good enough to play it right. Now TJ, is probably better than me. However, he's admittedly in a downswing. Maybe now's the time to avoid hands like J-8 offsuit?
