I think QJ bets on the turn to try and punish anybody with a newly found heart draw. I would 3 bet this with 2 others in the pot with me.

SB probably hit a pair, then checked on the turn as you representing a better pair. He might've hit two pair on the river, or might've taken your check on the turn as he had the best hand. You might be splitting with another lone J, in which case cap the river. You'd be putting in 1/3 of the money to win 1/2. But I've seen a lot of players bet into a PF raiser with draws, and the button calling 2 cold on the flop screams OESD. So, I like the play here, You could be splitting but you could just as easily be beat.EDIT: I doubt QJ bets the turn to punish flush draws. The draw isn't folding and QJ has nothing yet but Q high. In fact, they have fewer outs now than they did before. Plus most players at this limit don't understand the concept of punishing draws.

Raise preflop.Because you didn't raise, the pot is too small on the flop to raise. You *barely* have enough odds to call...if you even do. The flop is close between calling and folding.The rest of the hand was played good.

I agree with raising preflop since it is seven handed. I guess I need to better adjust my play as people leave and enter the game. Usually it is nine-handed, and sometimes I don't notice people leaving since I'm multi-tabling.If this was nine-handed, would you still raise preflop?

Thanks for the advice. I'm finding that SSHE repays careful review. From page 73, under Big Offsuit Broadways: Raise any of these hands if it has not already been raised. I guess it didn't stick with me the the first time and it doesn't show up in the hand chart, but it's there nonetheless. Anyway, I made some adjustments to my preflop play tonight and I'm feeling pretty good about it.
