how do i know i'm doing well?

I just have a quick question for you all. I am pretty new to poker. I currently play at the $.25/$.50 or $.50/$1 limit tables on various sites. I am curious as to what you would consider a successful day on the tables? I read somewhere that 1 BB/hr. is average. It is going to take a LONG time to build a bankroll if I am making $.25-$.50 an hour. Just wanted to know what any of you make on average at the low limit tables. Also, once I get the bankroll and move up to $5/$10 an up does the formula still hold? Thanks for the input.

In lhe bb = big bet not big blind. You should also keep track of it as bb/100 hands. At lower limits you should be able to avg around 2-3bb/100 fairly easily. Above 3 you're doing great and will move up in no time. You would be surprised how quickly you can move up. Just multi table, read the strat section here (lots of lhe discussion), and read some books. Do you have poker tracker by the way?worry about 5/10 much much latergood luck
