Fantasy teams not doing so well.
But in brighter news, I saw a guy with a sweet Whalers toque on the other day, so, you know, long live the Whalers.

Best logo ever!!!

Every time I see a Whalers logo I think of you. Thanks Carp

I always loved the Whalers logo.

I remember when I first learned the logo had an H and a W in it.

We used to do nhl trivia in elementary school. They'd ask a Q over the PA and the classrooms would compete. I was always the star.

Anyways, Q was name the teams with letters in their logos. Nobody knew about Hartford. I also didn't realize Philly's was a P.

That must have been Hartford's last year. Pretty sure it was grade 6, which was 95-96 for me.

95-96 was when I went to Hartford. I think it was Jan '96?

96-97 was their last year.

It may have been 96-97 then. I know what classroom I was in. I had grade 6 there, but also one period in grade 7.

Your genuine affection today for the logo is nullifying my resentment towards you for trying to turn my Whalers thread into a transit thread while I was out of the country last week.
Well played.

Big game vs Big M's.
Who should I start?

Eberle at MTL

or

He practiced on the 4th line yesterday..Coach is not happy with him, I doubt he gets scratched yet..

I think with a guy like Kessel its counterproductive to bench him..Its just gonna piss him off more..But it will send a message to the rest of the players.

A message to Voracek, Tyler Johnson and Nyqvist?
Oh you meant message to the Leaf players? Ya, wrong thread pal, take that "whats best for the Leafs" stuff somewhere else, this is all Whalers talk.

Hard to believe I wouldnt have done it for a draft pick.
You should have thrown in Stalberg.

The offer was Weber and a 1st...Look at the bright side, he is currently the 33rd ranked forward..If he drops to 51, he will be cheaper to sign...

Yeah Arp, you can sign up for 3 more years of this guy for more money than you're paying him now!
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

I just hope he doesnt go to Arizona, because I already have Arcobello there, and I cant be doubled up.
Kessel will be on the block.

Bad coaching decision...Stuff like this goes to prove the champion has lost his touch...

Still continues to put Kessel out there

Seriously speaking, its a tough spot for you with Kessel..I am in same spot in the other pool..

You cant bench him, because he is eventually going to break out..But I would think this is probably the worst slump of his career...But is it a slump? Has he "checked out" as they continue to discuss?

As a fantasy owner you dont care that he just sucks defensively and every game is a liability out there..But you would think there would be a few more PP goals in there...
