KingAustin 0
I was recently playing in a home game with my friends, and my friend was the dealer, he made a $.50 bet (SB was $.05 and BB was $.10, he had about $10 in chips) but he plays a lot of junk hands just because of his stack. I was in the big blind and I raise $1 more with KQ trying to scare him away, but he calls. The flop comes Q 10 J (suits were different and dont really matter at this point) so I move all in with about $4 in chips. He thinks about it for a long time, one of my friends goes and looks at his hands and starts naming his outs, and gets him to call. He turns over 9 10. Turn comes J and River is an Ace, so I win this pot with an Ace hi straight. I was just curious what you guys think of this play. Was it a good play to make, or did I get lucky? He is aggressive and plays crappy cards, so I wasnt really expecting him to have a good hand. All criticism is accepted.
wrto4556 0
If you figured he would call, then you did good. But if he was the type of player to lay down to a big bet, then you should lead him on, and get all your chips in on the turn. You said he was loose, so I guess all in wouldn't be bad. As long as you got all your chips in the middle, without getting him to fold.

You seemed to be a bit short stacked, and that was a damn good flop for you. You put all your money in with a solid hand, and got him to call with a worse one. Nice drag. All criticism is accepted.I think you should invite me to this game where people call 10xBB reraises with JT.There's not too much to say about the hand. You made a play thinking he was weak, he made a bad call then another bad call on the flop. You played it fine, you flopped top pair, made a good bet with top pair and a draw to the nuts of your whole stack into a pot that's 50% or more of your stack. It's not like you're getting away from it, so get your money while you have some fold equity. If you had pushed $40 into the pot it would have sucked.
