Okay, I'll take a shot. Flop came 7:club: 8:club: blank, turn was a blank, river was the 6:club: giving you the straight flush. You had one of them betting/raising into you and slow-played them to perfection until the river which you raised/re-raised until capped because one of them had A:club: x:club: for the nut flush and the other had either a smaller flush or a straight. Was I close??? :D

No. The first two are in ahead of you and, unless it's a really tight table, more are going to fall in behind you. Very nice for a suited-connector.

Hey I'm back from Vegas!I see no problem with calling here. Blinds being loose helps
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

C'mon, I've been working on my creative writing skills. :PI'm really tight, so I probably wouldn't have called. I've cold-called 71 times and I've lost a total of $34 doing it, so I tend not to cold call.

I used to hate suited connectors, then at some point I somewhat figured out how to play them, I think now I sometimes go overboard with them ...That said, I'm torn on this one, I'd call JTs here, fold87s, not sure about T9s/98s - I think I like this call here in position with the pot likely to be 4 or 5-way, since there's a decent chance top pair will be good, in addition to the drawing potential. So I think I like the call, not totally sure though.
Then you go to da box for 2 minutes by yourself, you feel shame... then you get free.

I didn't notice the raise in front of you when I first commented. What was the raiser like?An UTG raise is scary here.It might be fold.
i saw him at the riverbank. he was breaking bread and giving thanks. with crosses made of pipes and planks. leaned up against the nitrous tanks.
he said take a hit. hold your breath and i'll dunk your head. then when you wake up, you'll be high as hell and born again.

To make that call, you'd have to know at least the SB and BB would call. Knowing that, you'd be getting good implied odds to make the call. Bear in mind I'm horribly sleepy though and could be talking out of my assI hate the call, mind you. I wouldn't. Just trying to figure your reasoning

Against an UTG raiser, i'm definitely folding.

I think this cc is close.I didn't mention that most of these players are bad players. But because the SB and BB are loose, I have the button, and I make better decisions postflop, I think that this is a call.Im wondering how far people will push it in this situation. This is a good spot to coldc call.ATs, 66-22, KTs, 98s...how far?

Of that range, I'd likely only call with ATs. You've got me thinking about my cold-calling standards though.
Looks like i picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Interesting to say the least. You mention that SB and BB are loose...are they LP or LAGGY? If they're LAG, you may have to worry about a 3-bet from one of them which you'll obviously have to call (And I'm not sure where T9s is as far as ranking in terms of being against random hands). Against four other hands, you'll have to fold the flop if you miss, which I think will happen more often than you hit; I mention this only due to the fact that it's something to take into consideration if you'reworried about a 3-bet behind you, which you don't seem to be.A read on UTG ("Bad player" is a read in the same sense that "donk" is a read...cool, they suck, but that doesn't tell me anything about how they suck) would be nice, though I think it's fairly obvious you're behind to this point, need to hit the flop hard, and realize that (Which wouldn't change a whole lot whether you were calling one bet or two).

What about SSHE?If you go by the book it's a big no-no but I guess you'd probably say that's the view with training wheels on.

The players are generally passive. I ran some stuff through pokerstove:T9s wins 22% of the time against AA-77, AKs-ATs, AK-AT, KQs-KTs, KQ-KT, QJs-QTs, QJ-QT and 3 random hands. So, im putting in 20% of the money and winning 22% of the time if everyone calls. If the small blind folds, im putting in 25% of the money and winning 25% of the time.

Close decision...but I like the call. I'd also call here with ATs and muck KJs and all small PPs.

Yes.Cold donking with medium suited connectors sucks shorthanded. It just sucks less against LPPs.

Apologies. Would this be considered cold overdonking then?
