The $50K Player's Championship begins this evening and there are a couple changes this year that are likely to make the field smaller. It isn't being filmed for TV by ESPN which means that the entire tournament including the final table will be 8-Game where for the past few years the final table was NL Holdem to make it better for the TV coverage.Daniel has put the over/under at about 93.Updates will be available from Poker News and Daniel will be sending his usual updates via Twitter.Good Luck Danielhttps://twitter.com/...!/RealKidPoker/http://www.pokernews...s-championship/Daniel's Twitter UpdatesDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerMy 50k Players Championship table so far: Bretty Richey David Baker Eugene Katchalov Shawn Buchanen David Benyamine and me. Won't be easyDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips 140,300 end level 1 of the $50k started with 150k lost a big pot getting unlucky on turn in NLH one hand. 800-1600 limits nextDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips 138,300 end level 2 going to 1000-2000 nextDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips 109,300 end level 3 trending in the wrong direction. Next limit is 1200-2400. Ugly round of triple draw that level.Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips 101,800 end level 4 for my 4th consecutive losing level. The good news is we are only playing 1500-3000 next so I got plenty.Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerEnded day 1 of the $50k Players Championship strong with 137,200 my low point was 98,000 so I'm pleased and look forward to a better tableDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerSeat 2 table draw has Phil Ivey on my immediate left and I'm actually happy about it. Playing with him or Juanda at my table makes me betterDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerMy table today: Phil Ivey Brian Rast Matt Glantz Gus Hansen Danny Alaei Ville Wahlbeck and Anton Alleman. Good luck to me.Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips 70,200 end level 6 not the start I was looking for but I ain't giving up #DNegsGrind2012Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips SO happy to have 65,200 was down to 24k. Amazing I've lost 6 of 7 levels so far but I'm still here. Come on man LUCK please!!!!!!!!Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips played all in PLO pot with AAK2 double suited vs AA37 no suits board ran out KTT23. Dang was a GREAT spot to double.Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips in a dogfight up to 94,300 end level 8 next limits are 4k-8k after a one hour dinner break. I'm praying that the cards come my wayDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips hello, back to 147k was up as high as 185k for a minute. Last level of the night is 5k-10k and I'm just happy to still be hereDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPoker@dnchips pretty disgusted One Omaha8 pot, 2 Razz pots then limit Holdem 9T flop 784 and I'm out. #justbadluckDaniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerHard to ignore that I am lucky in life but this WSOP has been harder to take then most. Trying my best but cards are spitting in my face.Daniel Negreanu@RealKidPokerGood news is there is a $1500 PLO8 tournament tomorrow at noon yippee!!!

Sorry Daniel, but I have to cheer for my pick in your category, Jason Mercier, and Victor Blom from my other picks. Dan Kelly is looking good also.

he cold decked Andy 3-handed in PLO (Grinder had KKXX vs Bloch's QQXX on a K2Q2X board.)then got smashed in the face with the deck heads up. Klodnicki had no shot.
