Does anyone have a link, or some strategy for a basic starting hand guide for 7 card stud?

stop while you are behind.
i saw him at the riverbank. he was breaking bread and giving thanks. with crosses made of pipes and planks. leaned up against the nitrous tanks.
he said take a hit. hold your breath and i'll dunk your head. then when you wake up, you'll be high as hell and born again.

What he said... I am working on my stud game, It's very very good money if you can play it right but its a very very long road to get there.. I probobly throw away 20-50 bucks a week playing Stud :(It's an investment... thats what I gotta tell myself. SS2 has a good chapter on it.
"Here are my rules: what can be done with one substance must never be done with another. No two materials are alike. No two sites on earth are alike. No two buildings have the same purpose. The purpose, the site, the material determine the shape. Nothing can be reasonable or beautiful unless its made by one central idea, and the idea sets every detail. It depends a fair amount on the limit you play; at microlimits on PokerStars, for example, so many people play so badly that any kind of hand selection will put you ahead of the game. Once real money gets involved, keeping track of live cards becomes more and more important. Sklansky and Malmuth have a stud book, but it's geared towards higher limits. If you do a little googling for something like "stud hand selection" or "stud starting hands", you'll find a fair amount of advice. It'll mostly boil down to the same general types of starting hands - trips, big pairs, pairs with big kickers, three to a big straight, three to a big flush - with some individual variations based on number of players and live cards. Any kind of hand selection will make you incredibly tight by low-limit stud standards, and probably guarantee a steady stream of money.

i meant to say the starting hands thing too.the hands you play in stud are very dependant on how many of your outs are "live".dont start playing until you know these thins.and ive heard that book is good.
