God, it really tilts me too much to put the Raptor on the Mt Rushmore. It's just post-Jurassic park hype.
oh man I was gonna lay the fuck into the first person that put raptors on there and for the exact reason you mention. NONE OF YOU BITCHES EVEN KNEW WHAT A RAPTOR WAS BEFORE JURASSIC PARK. even scientists didn't know about those bitches.and leaving out pterodactyls is unforgivable.

They don't make the Mt. Rushmore because people are really thinking of Pteranodons when they're talking about Pterodactyls.

I've always thought of it as a smaller T-Rex.

T-rex's were thought to be mostly scavengers tho. Allosaurus was an apex predator, preying on much larger animals, and they believe they hunted in packs, so they took down massive animals.

Mt Rushmore of sports viewing inventions.

Like the Red Zone channel or instant replay or jumbotrons. That sort of thing. Doesn't have to be TV related, just things that have made watching sports better.

high def tv's and cameras

gus johnson

edit: because of your rules, i'll take out the changes to the rules of the game.

i can't really think of anything besides high definition. i don't want to know what life was like before ugh def tv. that is clearly the lincoln.

High Definition
Big Screens
Picture in Picture to allow multiple channel watching
The internet to allow you to watch stuff that isn't in your local area

Those aren't really sports inventions though, right? Maybe I needed to clarify better.

I'm talking about stuff like the yellow line on your TV that shows the first down mark. Sports specific stuff, not just high definition. (I do agree that sports is much, much better in high definition.)

i guess if your limiting it to that, i'd go with:

k-zone

first down yellow line

instant replay if that counts

i don't know.

I think instant replay counts and I'd put it on the mountain.

I'd consider the scoreboard box that has all the relevant information on the screen at all times.

Which is better: the first down line or the strike zone box?

first down line, because they won't leave that box up during the live pitch. and here in kansas shitty they don't use it as often on replays as i would like (meaning every ****ing pitch you rubes).

I think the strike zone box is better because it's not like you'll never know if the guy got a first down or not. It's just an instant gratification thing. But the strike zone box gives you information you wouldn't otherwise have.

but that first down line lets me know in live action. i want to know immediately. k-zone would be better if they left it on during the game, not just for replays. to me anyways.

but they are both at the top of the mountain.

Ooooh...k-zone...to be honest, I didn't know that's what it was called.

K-zone would be awesome if it was on during live play, but I imagine all the baseball traditionalists (and they are many) would call it distracting.
