i'm not a fan of tv/film being slaves to the source material. use the world to make a great tv show. dont just put a graphic novel on tv. that is unless they havent been following the gn so far, in that case follow it more closely, cause this right now aint up to snuff.either way - do a better job.

people on reddit are saying this isn't following the source much at all. t-dog and daryl are original to the series, or something.

People on fcp have been saying that as well. There's a lot of big differences.Daryl and Merle don't exist. There is a black guy called Tyreese so there's speculation about him being T-Dog but Tyreese carries only a hammer,hunts zombies and beats rick easily enough in a fist fight, so that can't be T-dog. There is a kick ass black woman character going to show up soon and she only likes black pipe so T-dog might be getting laid soon.Also, Sophia is still alive in the comics and Carol is really hot and much younger, she's banged about 3 people.They never go to the disease center in the comics. They go to Hershel's and he has zombies in the barn but it goes down completely differently and they leave much quicker than in the tv show.I read both of your comments about how the episode was shit and then watched it. I enjoyed it more than I thought. I think the show is going to be about surviving and killing other humans so that's why they drew out the decision so much.This is how Dale's life in the comics goes down if any of you are interested, now that he's gone forever. I'll spoiler it and won't put in things that ruin the story lines for other characters:

Dale is badass and is onto Shane from the get go, he tells Rick immediately that he thinks Shane is bad news and is trying to bang his wife. He is banging Andrea the whole time, she doesn't care about his age since "our life expectancy is around a year, we're all the same age"He loses a leg and they make him a peg leg thing Making him even cooler. Loads of shit is going on and Dale walks off into the woods, we don't know why. He's captured by a group of 5 who have been following them. Turns out they're hunters and cannibals. They eat Dales other leg and they like to keep their victims alive as long as possible as they don't have fridges etc. Dale starts laughing his ass off when he comes too and starts shouting maniacally "Tainted meat! Tainted meat!" It turns out he's been bitten and that why he walked off by himself, to die. "Tainted Meat!" The cannibals decide to dump him back at the camp as they won't eat him anymore and to scare the shit out of Dale's group. The group is much bigger than theirs and they think if they're scared they'll be able to pick them off. This is where Rick finally gets proper badass, they trick the group and capture them, butchering and mutilating the shit out of them. It's the first time they properly become savages. Dale dies in the arms of Andrea. And then she shoots him in the head.

Maybe that would have been a bit much for tv but I would have enjoyed watching it.

I enjoyed last night's episode and the finale looks like there will be some good action. Some thoughts below

In the comic, Rick doesn't kill Shane (Carl does protecting him) and then after burying Shane he realizes later on that Shane would come back as a zombie and be buried "alive" for eternity. So he actually goes back, digs him up to shoot him in the head. I actually liked the TV episode since I didn't expect Rick to knife Shane after offering a sign of peace. The unbelievable part is that there is this herd of zombies just walking around in the forest right outside the field - that's convenient for the finale. Also in the TV episode, it seems like Carl was going to shoot Rick before he realized that Shane had become a zombie (he points the gun at Rick before Shane rises - I'll have to watch it again but it seemed that way to me). Carl is one messed up kid.

there's really no other explanation for how shane+randall zombified outside of the theory I'm reading that the infection isn't a zombie bite thing, it's an airborne thing. I was pretty angry when I read it and it all fell into place mentally.
