Souray is a complete unknown, but I think he will be given every opportunity in Dallas.I would put Plekanec's perfect storm at 75 points given Montreal's system and how they spread the offense.Staal...80 is definitely a possibility...90 is probably his perfect storm.I think Edmonton is looking at probably going with Kabi/Dubey 60/40 but I can easily see Dubey taking over the 60% role. Dave may have more info on this one ;)I'm not in jail :club:
Yeah I might have to go back on my earlier comments. I know Dev was told in the offseason that they were going into the season with Khabi as the starter, but that he would only have a 10 game window to perform well, or they'd switch things up. I haven't actually talked to Dev since training camp started (bad brother, I know), now most things I am reading is that they might actually be leaning towards dev for the starting job. Who knows though, I'll chat with him after the game tonight or tomorrow and see what he thinks.

haha..So, hey Dev, any news on the goaltending situation? I'm debating between either you or Labarbara as my 4th goalie in this extreme pool I'm in. Kinda leaning towards Labarbara right now...(him and labarbara are like best friends)

great, could you ask Devan to ask Jason if Tippett mentioned how many games he would play? And while he's at it, maybe get him to ask Maloney what he's up to with Turris.btw, I need to know by Sunday please, so make sure they hurry. Thanks!!!:club:

btw, I bet someone tonight $50 that Dubnyk would play more games for the Oilers this year than Khahbibulin. Tell you bro to not let me down!

I think you guys are undervaluing Montoya. I might be a little out there, but I think the Islanders will be decent this year, and I think Montoya will be the clear #1 after the season is over.

If your definition of decent is they will finish somewhere around 27th in the NHL, then you might be right..The Islanders are a bad team, thats not gonna change for a while.

I think the Islanders will finish in the #7-#10 range in the East. The Islanders are a good team.

Would you like to wager that they dont finish in the top 10 in the East?Anywhere from 35 cents to $112 ....

I'd just flip it and counter offer the same trade back to him.Offer him 2 5ths and a 6th, plus a couple middle of the road players for 2 of his 1sts, a 2nd, and his best prospect.

Well, the team hasn't told him anything re: starting goalie situation, but he is certainly doing his part. He shutout the flames last night, and has allowed only 2 goals on 70 shots in 3 preseason appearances so far. More importantly, he is looking more comfortable and confident out there than I have ever seen him. He just looks absolutely rock solid so far in the preseason. I know I'm biased and all, but his game has definitely taken a step up so far this year.

Worse jinx than the Serge IMHO. Also, are we sure that the team isn't going to tank yet again? (ie Yucking for Yakupov).

The Dobber Jinx only works on undersized skill/speed/flash players. The one truth in hockey is that for every Marty St. Louis or Mike Cammalleri there's a dozen Brett Sterling / TJ Hensick / Simon Gamache type players who can't overcome the size issue.

You know this is Sterling's year, right?
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.
