Can someone explain to me why someone will post: "XXX is a great player and genius" then I look them up on OPR/PTR and they are losing over a million dollars and have a graph that starts at 0 and never returns to the positive? Are these tracking sites misleading or are the training site misleading? I don't mind giving the benefit of the doubt. I'm specifically talking about cash game results, not tournaments. You can easily look-up nanonoko on the same sites and see shining results.I am not here to gripe, I'm honestly trying to decide WHICH site to subscribe to and DEVOTE my full attention to. That's why I'm looking up their coaches on various result reporting sites. If any of you are instructors, chime in please or PM with recommendations.Looking for advice/training on deep stack live cash games $2/$5 to $25/50 or the online equivalent.

Just because someone is a good player does not make them a good teacher either. From my own experience with DC vs cardrunners videos I thought that DC was much better in terms of consistant out put and building up series to work through. On cardrunners it took months for a 3 part series to come out and the majority of vidoes were just poker videos rather than trying to teach any specific concept.

Here is my favorite one... Whitelime from DC on FTP http://www.pokertabl...earch/whitelimeHe has a positive winrate over the PTR sample, 1.7BB/100 over 170k hands, but lost 1.4MHe's crushed 25/50 HU NL and PLO over decent samples but lost 8 buy-ins at 100knl in 1400 hands... plus lost 9 bi at 40knl hu and 40knl 6max, and other nose-bleed stakesIf you watch a whitelime video, you will be able to tell he is a great poker thinker/player, and most other high-stakes players seem to think highly of him... Galfond and Selbst have nothing but good things to say, he just ran/or played awful at the super nose-bleeds...I think the best bet for a training site or coach would be bluefire... then DC.

I can teach better than I can execute because I've become an action monkey...If we were to "theory" play on forums and in teaching sessions I'm confident i could outperform most $5-$10 players and maybe higher...That said there are probably some great $50 - $100 players that would make shitty teachers...Totally different skill sets. If you want to evaluate them talk to students or see VODs

Just got slow rolled by some random with aces, time to take an automatic weapon to the nearest crowded public space.

"Mixing it up" doesn't magically rationalize anything you do. It's like you walk up to a pencil sharpener, pencil in hand, and think, "Everyone expects me to sharpen this pencil, but I'm going to mix it up." Then you whip out your cock and sharpen that instead and yell, "Ha ha, bitches, you never saw that coming!" Well, no, they didn't. But you still have a dull pencil and bleeding dick.

It is stupid the people who think they can teach even though they haven't got the results to back it up. That is why I only listen to Phil Hellmuth, the 11 time bracelet winner. That is more bracelets then phil ivey, tom dwan and patrik antonius COMBINED. Anyone who isn't trying to earn a black belt in poker under Sensei Hellmuth is misguided imo.

Hellmuth is so good that even when he had a losing hand he still got shipped the pot.
