In my keeper pool, I traded Ovie a couple of weeks ago for Patrik Elias and a 1st and 3rd rd 2012 draft pick. I think I did OK.Along with a different trade for a 1st rd pick, I now have 3 1st rd and 2 3rd rd picks...My team should be complete after 4 rds lol

In my work pool, which is a keeper with no salaries, indefinite keeper terms, and H2H categories G, A, P, PPP, GWG, Ovie and Malkin were traded straight up for each other last week.
Long signatures are really annoying.

In a very tough seesaw battle, I beat Canadian Gothic AAA 9-6. Margin could have been bigger, perhaps, but it could more easily have been smaller if someone had remembered to start Luongo on Friday night...

Shoulding be up to 3rd after this week. If Hillier can turn things around I really like my chances. I have both the league leader in goals (Gaborik) and assists (H. Sedin) on my team.

8th has a 30 pt cushion on 9th. Does that mean the quality has floated to the top and settled the playoff picture "early"? After this week, there are only 3 weeks left before the playoffs arrive...Only 34 points separate 1st from 8th...

I quit updating my lineups like a month ago. Sorry guys. Remind me next year why I always tend to skip this pool.

A fair number of the teams outside the playoff window have pretty clearly bailed on the season. Lots of guys on real-life IR who are holding down main roster spots, lots of guys no longer on IR who are still on their team's IR when they could be helping put points on the board. That's a lot of the reason the gap between playoff and not is so wide, IMO.

one guy who is competing (me) accidentally put a goalie on the bench on Saturday of last week and would've been up in 3 goalie categories with their opponent having 0 goalies starting on Sunday (could've made appearances). This person (again it was me) decided to "go for broke" on Sunday and tried to win back that category by starting one goalie. This turned out to be a double bad because the starter they picked did very poorly and they ended up losing another category (if they picked a different starter this strategy would've worked). So they went 1-5-0 in goalie categories instead of 3-3-0 if they would've set their lineup correctly on Saturday or 2-4-0 if they just left the Saturday mistake alone. We'll see if 4 points is the difference between me and a playoff spot.

Anyone need an extra goalie? I'm willing to deal one. Hiller will cost you the most. Emery looks to have taken the #1 job and Bishop could see a handful of starts.

If it's me, Adam, you can tell me in here.Don't let me in this next year, I'm not a big fan of the format, and I lose interest by Christmas every time. I'm not good for the league.

Actually, I'm looking right now and I think it's all good. If it's not, I don't care about the twenty bucks enough to do all that math and forum searching and scouring my emails and Paypal to figure out who owes me. You and I made an arrangement for your entry that we'd just double down on hockey bets. I'm almost certainly going to lose our Chris Kunitz bet since he only has to score 4 more goals the rest of the way for you to win, so that will wash your entry out. If I somehow win or push we'll figure it out. I don't know what's going to happen next season, this forum isn't as busy as it used to be so I don't know if we need to consider upping the entry fee to compensate for the fact that fewer teams are sticking around, or what. I guess we'll see what's what in September. The league will probably go off with 12-14 teams next season, at least that's the way I see it going down.

That he wouldn't get more goals this year than last year, for $20. He scored 23 last year and has 20 right now with 12 games to go. So yeah, I'm losing that one. 23 exactly is a push.
