In other news, in response to a question that Romney's history of flip-flopping will be a problem in the general election, one of his top people said that it's like an etch-a-sketch, and he'll just reinvent himself after the election. You can't make stuff like this up.
Funny, but he's right. After whose whole ridiculous nomination process is over, it's going to be a completely different campaign, and we'll see a different Romney. He had better hope that he'll be more formidable than the one we're seeing now. I think there's a good chance that he is.

Yeah, I know what his campaign guy was going for, and he was correct as far as that goes, but compariing someone whose biggest weakness is a reputation for not having any firm positions to an Etch-a-sketch is pretty hilarious. It's one of those moments where taking it just slightly out of context is far more entertaining -- and revealing -- than caring about what he meant to say.

And in related news the stock in the parent company of etch-a-sketch more than doubled today.http://www.latimes.c...0,1893691.story
I laughed pretty hard when I saw that today. I could probably personally push it to like 20 if I wanted, given how thinly it trades. it'd be lighting money on fire of course.santorum needs to fucking stop, though. the nominee is romney and I will hear nothing else on the subject.

Its also possible that people are overly sensitive and want to believe the worst even though it makes no sense.

This is a great way of explaining people who think Obama is a communist. Thanks.

Just because the Russians fucked it up, that doesn't mean there is anything inherently wrong with Communism, at least on paper.
"We had all the momentum. We were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark, that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back." —Raoul Duke, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

'He will likely not see even then that an American president has to make the other side work with him.'hahahahhahahahaahha. This whole article is nonsense but this part made me laugh so hard and feel so sad for the author. What a joke. The only way the Republicans were going to work with him was if he adopted their agenda entirely----no compromise, they've been clear.Oh, it's Peggy Noonan. Right. Thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my time BG.

I didn't look at the quote, and thought the second post was in response to the one above it. Made for interesting reading.
