I am currently looking for a new vehicle (always buy American). Thinking of a GMC Acadia (Used since I swore never to buy new again). I currently have a Saturn Relay and the timing belt went in Detroit and the Tranny 2x went in Feb (near my home).I found out that someone went into my boat and stole my favorite fishing rod (approximately $700). I want to go and look for the thief and use Adam's gun.
Owe $15 Dale - Won $10 more regular season games played (Dale - Lombardi, Me - Connolly)
Owe $20 Steve
Win $20 Bob - AHL Quarters
Win $20 Adam

Bet $20 Bob - AHL Season and $10 head to head (Bob 3 - Wayne 2) - unsure

lol, My wife gets scared when we go to a department store and she sees someone coming over to ask us if we need anything because it annoys me to no freaking end. Say hello then leave me the hell alone. I am an adult, I have been in a store before, I know where to go if I am in need of assistance. Till then stay the eff away from me and tell all your fellow employees to do the same.
I especially love it when they ask you again 5 minutes later.

Very good point, AJS. I guess deciding on a gun before I've had a chance to fire a few rounds out of a few different types is like trying to write a song after you've given it a name.
If you have the opportunity, definitely go to a public range that has rental options and try different types of pistols out before you commit a lot of money to something you may not like that much. There's no right answer for everyone (although people will certainly try to tell you there is), everyone has different wants and needs in a pistol and they only way you'll actually know is to hold and fire the weapon with your own hands. We don't have public pistol ranges around here, if we did I never would have bought that Walther.

Because everyone and their grandmother has one and there's nothing that really distinguishes the 2SS model that I would get from the 6-cylinder models. I like what Ford does with the Shelbys, there are enough differences in the styling that you can tell just by looking that the car isn't your average run of the mill 6-banger Mustang. They get yelled at if they don't approach people. They hate doing it as much as you hate having it done.
My dad just got a Mustang GT. When my Accord lease is up I will probably check one out. I really liked it more than I expected. But my main choice will be a Subaru WRX 5 door hatch. A Genesis Coupe and Mustang will be on the short list though. And yes that is true. Once when I was in retail I got in trouble for arguing with the "Customer Service Expert" who came to our store one Sunday evening and proceeded to waste our evening telling us how to basically annoy the eff out of anyone who steps into the store.

This is what I said: "No thanks, I'm just looking."This is what I wanted to say: "Please, fuck off. I am not a moron. I will ask you for help if I want any. Thanks."
I always feel guilty when I'm browsing in a store with no intention to buy anything. But I also don't like it when I'm in some high end store and the employee doesn't ask if I need help with anything. "Don't judge me, I can afford this stuff."Then I end up asking if they have something really specific so it doesn't look like I'm there needlessly. It can backfire when they actually have it."Wow, that's...that's exactly what I asked for. I don't think I'll buy it. Thanks though!"Shopping is stressful.

We rented a GMC Acadia and took it to Canada for my bachelor party 4 years ago, they're really, really nice. Highly recommended. My buddy (same guy) had his apartment broken into yesterday while he was at work. Inexplicably the guns weren't taken, the thief just stole his laptop and PS3 and a bike from the basement, but had the balls to stick around and take a shower and shave using my buddy's razor. Gross...we're thinking some kind of homeless guy.

I don't care what anyone buys so I am not looking to argue or preach my opinions on you but why do you only buy American?I won't lie, prior to the Accord I am in now I have always attempted to get an American car. Limits the arguments since I live in American car Mecca. But each time I walk out flabbergasted at the prices I would pay as compared to other non-American cars. Do you buy or lease. Buying is a different animal in terms of American vs Non American so I could see that being fine. One of my poker buddies was saying he needed a new car and he as well only gets American but he leases. I told him to just do me one favor, just go look at comparable cars at Honda/Toyota/Nissan/or Hyundia. He asked why and I told him to just do it and report back to me his findings. I told him it would be obvious. He ended up leasing a Honda because he looked at the Fusion and the Accord. Same lease terms and the Accord was $100 less a month. The main reason I always end up in a Japanese car is that still to this day the residuals on them are better which gets me a far better monthly price. Obviously if buying one then the residuals don't come into play. I believe most American cars are getting up there in quality and reliabilty with the Japanese but I think people still have the 80's in their mind and won't pay a higher price for a used American car which effects leasing costs. Boy can I ramble.

So a 2007 I am assuming. I am looking for a 2009/2010 SLT model. They are very nice with dual sunroofs, DVD player and leather. Went to a couple of dealerships ready to buy and they told me that they sold already. They do however have a 2008 model. I tell them I am not interested and I now believe that the 1st vehicle is a fake to get the customer to come in.

I bought a Honda Pilot previously owned by a couple from New York. It didn't come with a birth certificate so I don't know if it's Japanese, American or even Canadian. As long as it works and poses no serious problems then I don't care what nationality my vehicle is.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the superthread. I like the Challenger but I have the same issue...the only way anyone knows you bought the high end one over the 6-banger Challenger is a badge on the side that says SRT8 (and the fact that you can smoke them in a race but who races anymore?) They're too cookie-cutter similar, I want to be able to look at two cars from the side and be able to tell who spent $30k more without popping the hood, that shouldn't be too much to ask.

Yeah, he didn't know that the dirtbag had taken a shower when he filed the police report, only noticed that after they left. He was going to call back and see if they want to do any DNA analysis or anything...I'm thinking that's gonna be way low on their list since the property loss was less than like $1500 all told.

I don't think I could ever get a truck or an SUV. I get 28MPG now and it kills my soul a little each time I go to the pump.Liz got a Honda CRV and she loves it except she went from a 37MPG Civic to a 21MPG CRV. I shouldn't laugh at her.

Yes it does hurt but with a family of 5, it is a necessity.

I am taking my 8-year-old daughter to see Taylor Swift at the ACC on July 16th. It will be her second concert. I brought her to see Bob Dylan when she was 5.

If you went at the end of the month they probably did sell. I wouldn't put anything past car salesmen though...they're a shady lot (sorry Randy). If I had a family I would buy an Acadia in a second, as it is I have no real need for all that seating. I like my current plan of owning a truck for 10 years and leasing some toys in between buying new trucks. I'm never going to be without a pickup in my life since they're so convenient and I love them, but using a 365HP Hemi in a 7000 pound pickup as a daily driver at $3.75 a gallon isn't nice to the wallet. Not that a $400 car payment would be, but I digress....lol

My Dad always bought American cars, usually Buicks. Now he drives a VW Jetta wagon and loves it.

I like sleepers.Posted ImageMost people would not know this car does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds as opposed to this one which does 0-60 in 5.1 but looks like it does.Posted Image

I'm lucky if I get 15MPG on average in my truck...when I went to Boston we rented a Hyundai Sonata and that was getting up close to 40MPG...I felt so spoiled. Those are nice cars, I've gone back and forth about the idea of getting one.

My first concert I was probably around 8 as well. Weird Al Yankovic opening up for the Monkees. :club:
