Please do so.imo, it's pretty easy to criticize Obama by saying, "More debate should have happened," "we should study more," or think if that nature without having to actually take a stand. You'll notice that Paul never says whether we should have aided the NATO bombing or not, he simply made a bunch of wishy washy statements and somewhat generic remarks. The President is the one whose decisions matter and he's the one who has to make the final call. If you're planning to run for President, at least take a stand on the situation and say what you would have done.

Let rich countries buy their own defense instead of us subsidizing all the half-brained socialist governments throughout the world.

I don't think he is the crazy person he was painted to be.If you didn't notice, he and his dad are the only ones in the GOP criticizing Obama for going in too soon or without enough discussion. Everyone else in the GOP criticized Obama for "dithering" (Palin) or not being gung-ho enough or whatever. This leads me to the obvious conclusion that neither will ever win the GOP nomination. So what the hell are you talking about exactly? I don't care if he made an impassioned plea with the gravitas of Abraham Lincoln. He won't win the GOP nomination with a "we should slow down" attitude towards US military involvement abroad when the rest of the GOP is about shooting first and sorting other stuff out later.I actually agree with a lot of what Rand had to say which is the most concrete proof I can offer that the Pauls are not winning any GOP primaries for President. But continue to love this and stay in denial if you must, it's all good. Go Bomba

LongLiveYorke 38
Perfect. There are Twitter and Facebook accounts called Candidate Obama that love to bring up all the old things Obama said.Obama:“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”They key word there, of course, is "unilaterally," and gives him plenty of wiggle room to escape hypocrisy in this situation. The UN resolution and the involvement of NATO make this pretty multilateral.

The UN resolution and the involvement of NATO make this pretty multilateral. The phrase "does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally" is fairly unambiguous, since UN and NATO are not in the Constitution. If he had left out the part about "under the Constitution", he'd have some wiggle room, but as quoted, no, there is none.

Balloon guy 158
Another Paul, Paul Ryan: PAUL RYAN: For too long Washington has not been honest with the American people. Washington has been making empty promises to Americans from a government that is going broke. The nation's fiscal trajectory is simply not sustainable. The debt is projected to grow to truly catastrophic levels in the new future, leading to an economic collapse and a diminished future. We don't need clever politicians in Washington. We need real leadership and that is what we intend to provide. The president's recent budget proposal that he gave is worse than just a commitment to the status quo. The president actually accelerates our descent into a debt crisis. He doubles the debt by the end of his first term and triples the debt by the end of his budget. Let me ask anybody who is listening this, what if your congressman, your president saw it coming? What if they knew it was gonna happen, what if they knew why it was gonna happen, when it was gonna happen, what nature, and more importantly, what if they knew what could be done to prevent it from happening, and if they had time to prevent it, but they decided not to because it wasn't good politics? What would you think of your president, your member of Congress? Well, gah, that is where we are right now. This is the most predictable economic crisis in our history, and what are we doing, playing politics?

hblask 1
Cute how he predicts it 3 years after it began. He's not predicting the current economic downturn, he's predicting that within a couple years, without a serious commitment to controlling debt, that the country will face a fiscal crisis on the level of Greece. Basically, we have about 3-5 years to turn this thing around. Each year that we wait makes the choices harder. Within a decade, there will be no good choices but to start throwing seniors off of SS and Medicare. That's what he's predicting. Anyone who has honestly looked at the numbers comes to the same conclusion, yet politicians keep fiddling while Rome burns.
