I agreed with you at first, but watch out for Skille. He's getting an opp he didnt have in Chicago. Might still pan out.
But I love Frolik, so yeah, fleeced bad.

I actually thought Ottawa should have done better, and Im curious to know if they could have if they shipped Fisher elsewhere.
I really like Fisher though, I think he makes a good #2 C on the right team. Id love him if I was already a playoff bound team like Nashville. But I think the team that really should have pushed for him was LA.

Like, Mike Fisher is good, and does the small things, but he has 24 points in 55 games this year. You need more than that out of a good 2nd line center. I think ideally, he's a really good 3rd line center, while being a mediocre 2nd liner. He is more valuable than just his scoring, I know, but still.

His pt totals are atrocious this year, wont ignore that. But I think with the right linemates, he is a 50-60pt scorer. And for all the other things he brings to the table (IMO), if you had a true #1C like Kopitar, and a great set of wingers like LA, Fisher would be the perfect fit. Also because, you need a player like him in the playoffs. Ideally as your #3 C,or at worst interchangeable with a guy like Stoll/Handzus for #2/#3.
Nashville will give him #1 C minutes at the start I would. And good linemates. And I think it will work, but to what degree I dont know.

I would think IF Burke wanted to trade him, the return would be pretty good at this stage..
**I dont want Grabo to be traded..He is my favourite leaf and HE THREW ME A STICK.

Fisher is much better defensively than Grabo and reminds me more of what Tucker brought to the Leafs. The type of player that excels in the playoffs.....I really think Nashville is a cup contender. Last year they lost in the first round but played really well against Chicago.

As for the trade, I love what the Hawks did to get Frolik. I believe he is a RFA, so if they can't sign him, then maybe they can get a pick or something for him. I can also say that from watching Skille, he's been disappointing so far. He was given opportunities on top lines here in Chicago, but he doesn't seem to have any moves. He skates in a straight line. Some players just aren't scorers, and Skille is one of them. Also, from reading up on Salak, he seems to be having a good season in the Swedish Elite.

I have come to realize 95% of rumours are false...Hockeybuzz is the most popular fraudster out there..The closest thing to real stuff you will get is on twitter with guys like Dreger ,Kipper and Mckenzie..

HFBoards, Darren Dreger's Twitter, Bob McKenzie's Twitter, here...that's about it.
Serge is right, rumors almost never pan out. At best you might find out about a trade 5 minutes before it's officially announced on TSN.
Eklund could post a rumor that he's planning on trading a particular hockey card and then have it not even come close to happening. If you read HockeyBuzz it should only be for minor speculative entertainment and a couple of the bloggers he has working there who are somewhat decent.

I've found some of the HockeyBuzz Bloggers to really useful before the FCHL entry and free agent drafts. Eklund is a joke, we all know that.
