FOOSE1 0
Hey everyone! I've just signed up although I have been here watching and browsing literally since the first day the new site was up. I finally decided I have something worth saying. Is it just me or is online poker just a little TOO unrealistic at times??Here's a quick scenario of a tourney I was in on Pokerroom the other night.398 starting players. About 90 left. I took two huge hits and was left a little short stacked. Blinds were 150/300. I had 1,005 in chips on the button. Comes around to me. I have JJ and go all-in. I get 4 callers. I'm thinking I am done for sure. The flop comes J 9 Q rainbow. I jump out of my seat seeing the trips. Player first to act goes all-in. Everyone else folds. This turns his cards up . . . he has QQ. I'm thinking WTF. I have trip jacks only to be beaten by trip queens . . . oh well. On the turn I couldn't believe when I saw my 4th jack come up for quads! I jumped out of my chair thinking yeah I'm back in the game. With the blinds at 150/300 and over 4,000 in the pot, that would be plenty to build my stack back up. Oh wait . . . we for got the river card . . . a %$@&*@$% queen comes up to give the guy quad queens!!!!!!!I know, I know. Just another bad beat story. But come on. Could this really ever happen. I know it can but what are the freaking odds. Unfortunately living in GA I am stuck to internet play or the occassional home game. I guess I am just frustrated because at times online poker just seems way too unrealistic.Ok I'm done . . . anybody have cheese for my whine???
joker12676 0
That really sucks man. Unfortunately for a guy at the table next to me one night at Foxwoods his quad queens got beat by quad aces. But yours was like get the knife turned twice. seein your set then realizing you were beat suckin out and still gettin sucked out on OUCH
csabo17 0
My buddy was beat out of a tourney on jetset night before last when his quad 9's fell to quad aces on the river. I also think it was the same way, turn and river.
dna4ever 2
I am still a firm believer that 2 sets should beat 4 of a kind. I lost $82 this morning with KA vs JT. Board Flops KKJ Turns J and Rivers J. Guess I'm glad I only had $82 sitting at the table cause that could have been VERY expensive. KKK JJJ with Ace Kicker should beat JJJJ ;P
joker12676 0
I like that does that mean 3 pair beats 2 pair, because i hate pickin off someone with ace high and gettin counterfeited when a second pair hits the river.
dna4ever 2
Oh yea absolutely 3 lower pair should always beat 2 higher pair, its much more difficult to get. Its time to rewrite the rules of poker.

Smasharoo 0
I've had a straight flush beaten by a higher straight flush live.Twice.Play enough hands, you'll see every possability.About the only thing I havent seen is a royal flush on the board, in order from J to A. I expect to evevntually, though.
....Ian.... 0
after that flop (with both of yall 'set up') the chances of it coming J then Q are 1980 to 1 (or 0.0505%)
Play2day 0
PLaying Omaha I floped Quad Queen's only to have a shortstacked player move all in on an ace high heart draw. A10h in his hand, Q 7h on the board. Sure enough off comes the J and K of hearts on the turn and river. Worst beat I've ever taken. Fortunetly he was down to less than a buy-in (10 bucks) so it wasnt that big a deal
mark33f 0
In a tournament I saw a hand like this:Two players to the flop one :Person 1: 10 10 Person 2: 8 9 Flop: 10 10 Queen After flop, person two semi-bluffs all in with nothing but a inside straigt draw)Turn 7 River 6 Quad tens losing to a running straigh flush... DemonDeac 0
too bad you weren't at a badbeat jackpot table. lots of money to be won for losing like that
JustinHEMI04 0
Saw the other night at turning stone a straight flush 8-Q taken out by a royal flush. Probably the ultimate bad beat. It was at a 5-10 table and there was nearly two grand in the pot. They both kept betting until one was all in at like 96 bets. It was quite a scene. Justin
Guest XXEddie
I had a bad beat like this in a 20/40 stud game...A guy goes all in. I have 4 cards to a queen high flush and call. I have 9 7 J Q of clubs and he has 6h 7h Ad As. 5th street gives me the Ac and him the 8h. Im think hes done...but oh wait, 6th street and the river come 9h and 10h for him!!!! I lost to runer-runner-r unner str8 flush.....And you thought the odds of him having quads was bad...heh
