There was 7200 people in this tourney, and we were down to ~620 left, so we were ITM.UTG open flatting a ton 41/0 over 27 hands. Everyone else behind me was either loose or super tight. I am only at ~12 BB, so my thinking was just shove and take it down here. Is this the best play?? The only other thing I thought afterwards was I could have just raised, but i would have to call off to a shove anyway. I can't see AJ suited being too weak in early position and folding either.IDK. I know this may seem stupid, but when you go through a $700 + downswing over about 300 games in 2 months playing sub $10 tourneys and SNGs, it really gets into your head. Since I have started playing seriously about 11 months ago, I have gone from terrible-->profiting-->break even-->terrible again. Thanks for the input.Posted ImageFeral Cow Poker Hand ConverterPokerStars No-Limit Hold'em ($2.00+$0.20) t1000/t2000 ante t250 - 9 playersBB Diogomengo: t6,348 UTG virgule29: t55,701 UTG+1 Zolotoi Volk: t13,194 MP Hero: t26,417 MP2 Bull Man 75: t43,822 HJ Pokerrgirll: t27,299 CO Isigrin 69: t16,613 Button NESTO_1982: t48,511 SB matirik2008: t29,437 Preflop: (t5,250) Hero is MP with :D :qh (9 players)virgule29 calls t2000, Zolotoi Volk folds, Hero raises to t26167 and is all-in, 3 folds, NESTO_1982 raises to t48261 and is all-in, 3 foldsFlop: (t59,584) :ts :5c :3h (2 players)Turn: (t59,584) :4h (2 players)River: (t59,584) :D (2 players)Hero showed :D :jh, and lost with a pair of EightsNESTO_1982 showed :D :club:, and won (59584) with two pair, Queens and EightsNESTO_1982 won t59584

That is what I was thinking. Any PF move I make is going to commit me. I was playing tight because I was card dead through most of the tourney. Only way I survived was doubling-up in hands similar to this at about 8bb-10bb. Whenever I did just open-shove from any position after one of the loose guys would open call, they would always fold, and I could pickup the blinds/antes. I was kinda hoping one of the loose guys would call me with a weak A, because there was some of that going on.

This is def a possibility.I know (as i'm sure many others do) what its like to downswing and doubt yourself in standard spots, just keep plugging away sir.

I'd take the 41/0 over 27 hands as evidence enough that we crush his range equitywise. This is in no way a close decision as to the correct action.

Good. Also, make sure you're not just focusing on your bust out hands when evaluating your play in a tournament.
