Maybe I'm the only one.Nemo was probably a bit overrated when it first came out because Pixar wasn't Pixar yet and everybody was thinking, "Holy crap this is amazing," but now that Pixar has this run of success, Nemo is probably a bit underrated. Some very interesting stuff.Steve Jobs invested $10 million in the company and 10 years later when Pixar went public he took home $132 million. As a result of the Pixar/Disney merger, Jobs became the single highest Walt Disney stock holder. He owns 7%. It was on tv, I wasn't watching closely, but it was on. I dunno, they're all close. I might have Cars too high, but I remember liking it a lot more than I expected to.Haven't seen Bugs Life in awhile, but a copy came with my Imac back in the day, and it was pretty awesome at the time. Premise:In rugged and mythic Scotland, the impetuous, tangle-haired Mérida, though a daughter of royalty, would rather make her mark as an archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Mérida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father's kingdom and her mother's life. Mérida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark ancient curse. Doesn't sound like a typical Pixar movie, but they get the benefit of the doubt.They also cancelled a movie this year that they had already started called "newt" and replaced it with the sequels: What happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can't stand each other? That's the problem facing Newt and Brooke, heroes of "newt," the Pixar film by seven-time Academy Award® winner for sound Gary Rydstrom, and director of Pixar's Oscar-nominated short, "Lifted."
