Everybody in and around NE Philly/Trenton NJ/Lower Bucks area get ready. Parx is opening there room on Wed. I am so excited. Anybody else planning on showing up this week? I should be heading there on Fri. most likely. I cant wait.

Not long now. 10am opening. They had a practice session open to the public yesterday for play money. I wasnt able to go, but a friend did and he said the room is spectacular. Also, the dealers are competent. 24 tables to start, but they already have about 50 tables set up for the expansion at the end of the year. Im shooting for a Friday visit if the wait isnt crazy. Anybody else going shoot me a pm and maybe Ill see you at a table.

Poker is here at Parx. I was so excited and I knew I wasnt playing today. Yet during my day of driving I had to stop in and see the room. Let me tell you it is fantastic. Very big room and half of it was sectioned off as they arent allowed to use all there tables yet. I talked to a floor manager and he said that 25 tables were going while I was there. I looked at the lists and saw that about half the tables were 1/2 nl. There were 4 2/5 tables and 1 5/10 table. Also there were a few limit tables with 4/8 being the lowest game they spread. I didnt see any non holdem tables going but there were interest lists for stud and plo and limit omaha with quite a few names on them. The dealers looked competent and the floor were welcoming and accomodating. I was very impressed. The only negatives are that drinks arent free. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea are free but everything else is not. Even bottled water is $1. Also, there is no smoking at the tables but it is permitted at the bar in the back of the room. Its about 30 ft. from the tables and I couldnt smell anything, but it could be bothersome to a few ppl. Also, it was a tad too dark. I am not for bright rooms, but this was just a little too low. All in all, this seems like it could rival the Borgatas room. I cant wait til Friday. Ill fill everyone in on the wait and the play then.
