I'm sure this is a FAQ, but my search didn't find anything.Do you find that the time of day affects the quality and type of your opponents? And, if so, how?My theory is that many of the casual players and fish go to sleep around 11pm Pacific time, maybe midnight.Do you try to play more during peak hours for reasons like this? Does it help?-M

Yeah, the level of play is much worse during the evenings and nights than during the day. This is because people will come home worn out from work and sit down for a "nice, friendly" game of poker.Though, on PartyPoker, the level of play is usually the same no matter the time of day.

I disagree. Those who play the most (the best players) tend to play into the wee hours of the night.

My experience, although limited to Poker Stars, is that the weakest games tend to be between 9:00 - midnight during the week and 9:00 - 2 or 3 AM on the weekends. I play mostly heads up, one table, and two table sit & go's so I'm not sure if this applies to cash games as well.

I have found Saturdays to be a great day to capitalize on casual players. I am in the PT time zone and the best money is to be amde between 4 PT and 11 PT.

I play at Pacific, and I find that a steaming cup of Java and a good nights sleep under my belt are the recipe for good session of poker. Just my .02 cents.*L*T*

If I had never played on Sundays..I could probably have started with a $20 bankroll and been okee - dokee. Sundays kill me. Or used to at least.

I find that the worst level of play i.e. best time to make money is late at night. I have theories but no point in discussing them.
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
