Thursday, September 30th, 2010In a shocking turn of events, the FCHL anounced thursay that they would be relocating the perennial FCHL contender Altona Maroons to Lethbridge, Alberta. After hours of back room dealings, under the table transactions, bribes, threats, and ultimately a tense round of Rock, paper, Scissors, the decision was made to award the orphaned franchise to Dave. Also known by his online moniker 'Dubey'(he may or may not be a pot head, more to follow), Dave is a but of an unknown commodity in the World of fantasy hockey. When asked for comment, Dave's assistant gave us the following tidbit: "Dave is very excited to be an owner in the FCHL. He just wants to bring some excitement to the people of Lethbridge. Things have been a little bit dull around here since Kris Versteeg left for training camp. Also, Dave wants to let people know he's not trading Steven Stamkos, so stop PM'ing him!" We will have more details for you as they become available, stay tuned. In their first ever FCHL Free agent draft, the Lethbridge Golden Seals made the following Acquisitions:1. Steven Reinprecht - $0.752. Chris Kelly - $0.753. Eric Belanger - $2.004. Carl Gunnarson - $3.00

Welcome to the league, Dubey! Glad to have you onboard.Trade me Turris? (You don't want to trade him to Steve, he's in your division) :club:
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

Then lets talk my good buddy. Don't give him to the already huge powerhouse that is the Hurricanes. Jesus, the guy bought his championship last night at the auction draft!

Steve,

It doesn't matter who you start because you have a horse shoe up your ass so far I'm not really sure how you get through the day. You must be gay.

And the part he didn't buy, he traded for this morning. Duncan Keith and Marty St. Louis for a pair of 1st round picks, Steve Ott and Victor Hedman... :club: It's all coming up Hurricanes this year.

Were you shocked too by the Keith/Hedman deal? I felt like I was taking crazy pills when I saw that.p.s. welcome to the league dubey. well-formatted first post.p.p.s. it is kind of customary to derail everyone's threads with other discussionsp.p.p.s. i thought the gunnarson bid was a bit silly and definitely overpriced, but the other three guys you grabbed were good, at good prices. in case you wanted my opinion :club:

hmm, and I was happy with the Gunnarson signing! :PI expected him to go for around $2-$2.5, but he was the one guy I had my eye on to round out my D core. I obviously had very little wiggle room with regards to the cap. I'd saved $3 for him. The bid was at $2.5, I possibly could have gotten him for $2.75, but I didn't want to bid $2.75 and have somebody bid $3, when I only had $3 left to bid!I'm really high on Gunnar though and think he'll put up a lot of points in the coming years!

side note: if you guys wanted to post league updates in this thread, I wouldn't get too angry, given that I can't access 90% of the information on the site and all ;)What is my process for submitting a lineup by the way?also, if anybody could post my schedule here, I would be greatly appreciative!

Those are 2 good questions to which there is no answer at the moment. We need to find a site first. that reminds me, I don't even know what a starting roster consists of in the FCHL! How many players do we start? and how many games do we typically play in a given week?

On any given day we start 6 forwards, 4 D and a goalie. If neither of your goalies play, you are given credit for 5 goals against.Goal = 1 pointAssist = 0.5 pointsGoal Against = -0.5 pointsWe play every single night there are 7+ games in the NHL. 3-4 times per week, sometimes 5. We will play on some nights where there are 6 games as well.
Long signatures are really annoying.
