Deep in the 4 max 45 left. Been playing with utg for over 3 hours, he played tight poker for the most part.

beware the feral cow packs. they hunger.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em ($4.00+$0.40) t1000/t2000 ante t250 - 4 players

BB: t88,282
UTG: t121,940
Button: t102,922 (Hero)
SB: t75,484

Preflop: (t4,000) Hero is Button with (4 players)
UTG raises to t4000, Hero calls t4000, SB folds, BB calls t2000

Flop: (t14,000) (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets t12000, BB raises to t84032 and is all-in,

Thoughts?

I'm not folding bottom set here. Given what's already in the pot, we need less than 40% equity here, and this is often enough going to be a draw with a T or a hand like AJ, KJ, J9 that is scared that we will draw and hit. Sure, it may be a better set or QT or even T7 as well, but sets are hard to make (and wouldn't BB often raise JJ or 99 pre?) and I think QT or T7 would play it slower - moreover, we still have 7 outs on the turn and usually 10 on the river against made straights.

(Edit: UTG's last action is not in the HH, but I'm assuming he folded.)

anything beyond seems tight? you played 3 hours with him! if i was thinking he was this tight i would fold. but in a vaccum i would snap. i mean seriously you should know something, even if you were multitabling. its a 4 max. things are clear quickly in those.

This is a no brainer call. Just blame everyone else when he has the straight. How did the hand end?

How is this a tough spot in a 4 max?

Fist Pump Snap call.

Plays AJ, QQ+ and any two pair the exact same way.

If BY chance he does have the straight, just move on.

Even with QT or T7, you still have redraws for a boat. What you REALLY don't want to see is a higher set.

Personally, I think a call is warranted here.

Yah, and even if he has a higher set you still have redraws for quads.
