you flopped top set K 9 kicker. you only play 2 cards from your hand, and with someone already putting money in the pot, i would just pot it pre. your going to get called anyways, but we dont mind that with this strong a handomg why would you check after villain, you can get outdrawn. bet pot. make value from your hand. protect against flush draws. dear god you really think you have a boat! sorry, you dont. LOL! dont worry i did the same thing a few times the first time i played. that and multi tabled mixed games and played a great razz hand, but it was stud hi!!! it happens, just dont do it again. :club:

thats not a boat, its top set. bet flop to build a pot/protect your hand from broadway and flush draws. if he called with lows you dont want him to catch up either backdooring you for half.

Brother, you only flopped trip aces. You can only use 2 cards in your hand, but you have to use 2 cards. Basically you have your own outs on a flop and potential straight board. I'd bet this with the understanding that if a J, 10 or any Diamond gets there you are no good. You have the stone cold nuts, at the moment.

we have the temp nuts. we are kinda likely to gte outdrawn. we only have a 10% or so edge, so we need to pot to max our value out while we are ahead. but we still have some equity even if the flush hits

Realized it wasnt a boat after I posted and was riding my bike to a friends. -facepalm- Counts fingers 1,2 from board and then lets say 1,2,3 from hand weee makes 5!Result of the hand: I max bet and villain folded. This is the first O8 I have ever played :club: anyways it all turned out good and I won 50 big blinds in 100 hands xd I was multitabling a cash game, 2 sngs and this O8, come to think of it I should probably stick to either one so I dont see boats all over the place.@rrumsey the only razz I know is bacardi razz and I'm not to fond of that @tiburonYeah I do see the straight possibilities on the board. Any 3456 would also be bad then right? Possibly making someones LO hand.@donnie rayya I realize that guess I gotta pay some more attentionI'm about to go on a 10 day holiday and guess I'll decide what I'll play the coming semester then since I only got 2 courses at uni. Any input is welcome! My BR is $100 atm. I dont mind playing "boring" games cause in the end I play for winning money and not to have a good time.Lots of random jabbering in this post hope it dont hurt ur eyes to much.Love and hugs.

not raising this preflop is a sin. but since you didn't the pot is really small here. because of this i could actually go either way on this flop. when the pot is really small like this the money you can potentially earn on future rounds is more significant than what is in there already.
