An ounce is a lot of weed. In Florida, possessing an ounce is a felony.It is a problem if you have a social conservative in the White House. Obama does not care (and even Sarah Palin said she thinks enforcement of pot laws should be a very low priority). So it might not be a problem at all. Or it could be. We are good until 2016 anyway.

An ounce is sort of a lot. When I was smoking (its been a long time), I would buy 1/8th of an ounce for $30-$60 and that would last a month or two of sporadic use.

Obama has explicitly said they will respect state law, and since he took office the feds have ceased enforcement in places where states have legalized. For instance, they have not been taking down the medical marijuana places in california which are also technically illegal by federal law. So, its a problem in that the federal government could change its mind.

Played poker a few weeks ago with a guy who said his son sells pot on the internet.Calls himself the Spice man or something. He packages the stuff into tight cones, like incense, and sell it as such, lol.He too said it will take several years for the legal noose to tighten for reasons I still don't quite understand.

What a great post.As a medical marijuana patient in Colorado, I can purchase top quality medicine for $50-$60 per 1/8th and $300-$400 per ounce.If I have a relationship with a private grower ('caregiver'), then those prices drop to $40 per 1/8th and $250 per ounce.Think of an 1/8 as a couple of fingers in a baggie, an ounce would probably fill most ziplock sandwich bags, depending on stretch/quality etc. I smoke much, much more than most patients. I would love for an 1/8th to last a month!
