I hate my river call cause I feel I can only be beat there. In order to entice him to check the river to me, could I have three bet the turn here?

First off: Best topic title of the year !I dont even know where to begin correcting, whether it is the wrong usage of term 3-bet vs raise, the fact you mean the turn in the title but wrote down river, or the actual hand played.Edit: 3 bet river for POT CONTROL. HAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAEdit 2: 3 bet river for POT CONTROL. HAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAEdit 3: 3 bet river for POT CONTROL. HAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAEdit 4: 3 bet river for POT CONTROL. HAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHA

What are you going to 3 bet the turn here too? You're not going to be saving that much more by 3 betting. And that's IF the river is checked to you.

How can you 3bet for pot control exactly? 3 bet for value, not pot control. There's nothing wrong with how you played that hand. I prob would have bet the flop and played cautiously if they called. Otherwise it's fine.
