Cincy is the 2nd highest pick in the Supercontest and Houston is the 3rd highest.

Broke even last week. Going all in on the red rocket this week as the Bills magical run of ATS wins comes to an end hopefully.

Cincinnati -3.5 $6,300
Cleveland pk $100
Houston +1 $100
Dallas -2 $100

new balance: $12,600

up to 22nd in the pool out of 87 remaining players. Leader is at $50,000, 2nd place at $29,000.

I think I'm going to bet most of my roll again this week to try to get within striking distance of the leaders. The leader was at 30k last week and made a pretty big jump. If he is aggressive again, he could get out of reach pretty quick. I'll probably bet 10k on 1 game and if I lose, try to rebuild again.

I'd like to do this with hockey.

yeah that would be fun.

I'm in a 3-strkes survivor pool for NHL this year where you pick one team each week and when you lose 3 times you are out. Regular survivor rules apply (can only pick each team once).

I am already 0 for 2 thanks to the avalanche. Picked NYR at home vs. COL in week 1 and Boston at home vs. COL in week 2. I'll probably go back to the well again next week and pick somebody else against the avs. let them finish the job.

San Francisco +11 $2,500

NY Giants +11.5 $2,500

Pittsburgh +4 $2,500

balance after week 6: $25,200. a full double up!

that gets me up to 4th in the pool out of 74 people remaining. Unfortunately, 1st place is pulling away a bit, he is up to $75,000.

current standings:

1st: $75,000
2nd: $29,000
3rd: $28,000 (Devan)
4th: $25,200 (me)
5th: $19,100

there are 18 other people between 10k-19k. top 5 people get paid but I think it's too early to take that into consideration. I'm going to stay aggressive this week and try to reel in the top guy a bit. Given how bad most of the pool has been getting crushed recently, if I were in his shoes, I would probably be betting conservatively until somebody make a real push.

Green Bay +4 - $5,000 LOSS
Arizona +3.5 - $5,000 LOSS
San Francisco +6 - $2,000 PUKE
LA Chargers PK - $2,000 WIN
NY Jets +3 - $2,000 PUSH
Indianapolis +3 - $2,000 PUKE

Doubled my $ on FanDuel this week playing a 50/50 and 2 small tournaments. Would have done better if I didn't play Eric Decker.

nice. I had been on a good run, just trying to run up a freeroll win on my own account. won $7 on a freeroll in week 2. doubled up to $14 in week 3, then $28 in week 4, then $56 in week 5, then up to $110 in week 6.

My double up lineup lost this week though. Luckily I didn't go for the full double again as I wasn't feeling great about my lineup. Back down to $50 now.

I entered something called a monopoly NFL pool. $100 to enter. You get $10,000 "monopoly money" to bet with. Must bet at least $100 on at least 4 games every week (spreads only. no parlays or anything), but you can bet as much as you want on as many games as you want. There are 75-85 players in, and the money is top heavy. I heard that last year, the guy who won ended up with over a million. I think the strategy is to go hard on a single game or 2 every week and just be aggressive and hope you get hot. obviously tighten up if tons of people drop out or the field gets creamed in a given week or whatever.

So, after 7 weeks, there are 69 people remaining out of 100, and 19 of those 69 have more than the $10,000 we started with. Pretty pitiful showing from the pool.

One guy (JT Miller from the rangers) is running away with it. he is up to $101,000 and kept his foot on the accelerator last week despite having more than double the $$ of second place.

I am currently in 12th place with $13,200. I'm going for a full double up on 1 game this week because I don't want to play for 2nd place and I need a couple double ups (and Miller to slow down) to get within striking distance of 1st place.

Leader: $101,000
2nd: $29,000
3rd: $24,800
4th: $18,800
5th: $17,500

12th (me): $13,200

Miller had $4,000 left after week 1. his "stack" has gone:

10k-4k-8k-16k-30k-50k-75k-101k - Impressive.

My progression:

10k-2k-3k-6k-6k-12k-25k-13k

I'll be betting $12,900 on a single game this week. Not sure which one yet.

There are 17 weeks in the NFL season unless it goes into the playoffs (which I doubt)
