I see a lot of live hands posted here that may be heavily read based.

Live play requires solid fundamental play but can be also heavily read based at lower stakes 1/2nl, 2/5nl, limit games due to inexperienced players and obvious tells.

Take the time and invest in yourself by learning to read players better. Work on it w/ friends and in home games as well.

“All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes.” -Winston Churchill

I hope everybody makes use of this info. Best of luck to everybody here at FCP as always! smile.gif

I will tell you that the Read em and Reap book has absolutely won me a ton of money that I wouldn't have normally won had I not observed some clues he describes in the book. The trick is relying on your reads and not over thinking and talking yourself out of them....as I do from time to time.

Is the info in these books really that good? I always think this kinda stuff isn't so important.

It's really good to have when ABC/standard play still leaves a gray area.

why hasn't someone posted Caro's classic tells book yet?

Picking off *stare downs* with next to nothing is still my favorite most profitable live tell

also, i did read that first book, and it was phenomenal I will say... i can verify a lot of these body language tells are extremely accurate from other high stress environments I'm around

Just got slow rolled by some random with aces, time to take an automatic weapon to the nearest crowded public space.

"Mixing it up" doesn't magically rationalize anything you do. It's like you walk up to a pencil sharpener, pencil in hand, and think, "Everyone expects me to sharpen this pencil, but I'm going to mix it up." Then you whip out your cock and sharpen that instead and yell, "Ha ha, bitches, you never saw that coming!" Well, no, they didn't. But you still have a dull pencil and bleeding dick.
