Huh, I did not know that. That might've been relevant information before this happened:
I guess Zimm isn't officially on one; he was on the 160 plan last year that Stras is this year. But Zimmermann is coming off of Tommy John in 2009, so they might not want to push him too much.Chien-Mien Wang was looking okay this spring, til he ruined himself trying to cover first in a game. He's back and throwing again in the minors, so I assume they'll try to work him in at some point. Maybe space some innings out that way. Ross Detwiler (tonights starter) has been pitching really well too, but I don't think that will continue. He was pretty bad the last couple years.

Also, Pablo Sandoval broke his hamate yesterday, almost a year to the day (April 30) that he broke his other hamate. What can you say? Some people just have shitty hamates.

Blame it on the NBA's condensed schedule.

Torn acl. He's one of very few Yankees who I have absolutely no hate for. Classy guy, probably the greatest closer ever, never flaunts it. Not that flaunting one's greatness turns me off (cough, Pedro), but it does when they're on the Yankees, just because.

Let me say again that paying for MLB.tv Premium and being blacked out of video on certain games is pretty ridiculous. Forces me to go find a pirate stream. (Obviously the radio broadcast isn't blacked out.)

I don't have it for exactly that reason Cobalt. Pointless to me if I can't watch the Jays. You know, because god forbid I'm not able to attend a baseball game being played 989 miles away.Question 1: Where are you watching pirated streams? Every site I use has only one provider for MLB this year, and its awful, requiring a separate program and buffering like crazy.Question 2: Stupid question, but if you're watching old games on mlb.tv, how does it show them? For instance, if I want to watch a Giants game from April, and I scroll back to that day's listings...can I assume it just says "Giants vs Dodgers" (or something) and doesn't do something stupid like show me the final score?
Long signatures are really annoying.

http://www.vipbox.tv/Usually has a few links. I typically look for a StreamTorrent link. It's not an invasive program, but it does require a bit of buffering.http://mlb.mlb.com/m...#date=5/17/2012Looks like that. So, no scores listed. You click a link and can watch from the beginning.

Thanks very much CB. The StreamTorrent links are the ones I have a problem with - I find the buffering prohibitive at times. Like the look of mlb.tv though, may just have to buy it.

Yeah, it can be bad. I usually just switch around until I find a reasonable one. And, outside of the occasional blackouts, mlb.tv is quite good. I like being able to watch from my computer/PS3/iPhone.

The umpires have been cheating openly against the Jays since Lawrie threw the helmet and hit the umpire. The latest example from today Marty Foster throws out Henderson Alverez in a 5-4 game for this pitch with no warnings claiming he was trying to hit the batter because he had just given up back to back to back home runs. What a joke.http://mlb.mlb.com/v...771419&c_id=mlb

Baseball should get rid of umpires. They aren't needed.

For some reason the video wouldn't load for me, but I think I'd be more surprised if he wasn't throwing at him. Does it say anywhere that you need to give a warning first?

You don't have to give a warning but the pitch in question was a bit inside on a 1-2 count in a 5-4 game. It didn't hit him, it was a thigh high inside fastball. If he throws over his head or drills him that's fine but a pitch a bit inside resulting in an ejection is a joke.
