Wow, that is quite the list of guys who have disappointed this season. Pujols has been alright, but not crazy-dominant Pujols. Is it me or has there been a ton of stars hurt this year? When I look at who'll be in the top 2 tiers, it is amazing to me how many stars are missing, mostly due to injuries. Then again, there's always Joe Mauer who is just sickly dominant in the catcher category. It'll hurt to resign him to like $17-$22/year, but how can I not? He has 24% more points than any other catcher this year. That is exagerrated by Posey's short season and Martinez's injury, but still nuts.
It's crazy to think that this year Pujols isn't that far away from the Triple Crown.

Another idea.Head to head scoring...sort of:My pitchers struck out 10. Your pitchers struck out 7. I get 3 points. My pitchers walked 5. Your pitchers walked 1. You get 4 points. My pitchers blew a save. Yours didn't. You get a point. My pitchers didn't pick up the win. Neither did yours. No points. My pitchers allowed 3 runs. Yours allowed 5 runs. 2 points for me....and so on and so on...Does this work? It seems to me that it might because pitching is really only relative to your opponent.
It's just that it makes every single category worth one point. The only difference is the final scores will be lower. Instead of adding 20 points for pitching, and 14 points for pitching, you're adding 3 and 0. (Strikeouts) I'm not saying I don't like it, it's just pretty much the same as we're doing. No?
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

A big difference is that pitching scores between opponents will be relative to one another. This will eliminate the wide discrepancies I would think.

I feel like if we do this for pitching then shouldn't we consider this for hitting?

Amazing jays game tonight!!!! So glad I made the trip.I'll weigh in on pitching pts next week when I'm not on my iPhone.
You picked a great game to go to..Jose Bautista hits two dingers for 40 on the year..Morrow strikes out 12 in 6 innings..The Jays rock..How ridicolous is it that Bautista has 40 HRs to lead the majors and no one is even really close to him...

You know, I'm shocked they struggle to sell tickets to Jays games. I had such a great time going to the game last week. I would go to games all the time if I lived in the area.

I also have a great time whenever I go. It is a hassle though - you have to give it 5 hours and still pay a decent amount with snacks and stuff to watch a .500 team.
Long signatures are really annoying.

Thursday nights game must have been like 2.5hrs. Super fast and enjoyable. But yeah, I bought a 2hot dogs+2drinks+snack for my son and I, was almost as much as the tickets. Add parking and whatnot, and its not a cheap event. One of the biggest reasons why I dont go to many games as a Torontonian is the dome. When its closed, its a crappy place to watch a game. Im hoping to go to more and more each summer as my son gets older and hopefully likes the Jays.

I'm happy to watch it in a closed dome. I meant 5 hours including parking, travel, etc. Parking is expensive and also a big hassle.Just general complaints, I don't think Toronto and the Jays are any more difficult, expensive, or inaccessible than any other major sports team.

Tigers games are great. $30 for 2 RF tickets, $10 parking in the Ford Field lot which is a 5 minutes walk to the gate. Easy, cheap, and fun.

This should get interesting as Danny looks to have you owing him $25.

Well there must be a mistake somewhere other than the mistake of him having us at 91 games played.

On review, I get the same as Dale. 47-46 in his favour. I think I counted 6 wins by him of 1 point or less, compared to 1 for me!I also won some of the later games, which means my running count was more than 5 games off. I'll do a proper count of all my bets as soon as I get around to it.Thanks for checking up Dale. I'm sad my attempts to cheat you have floundered. So far...

I am just now realizing the error of taking prospects in the entry draft like we all did. As I try to decide if Brett Wallace and his 11 fantasy points in 97 ABs is worth a 5-year extension.

It's all relative because I'm fairly certain Buster Posey is worth a 5-year extension :club:

Jays game tonight! I'm psyched. In town for the Jewish holidays, so catching a game. Surprisingly found a promo code for discounted seats, so we'll be sitting 2nd-row 100-level outfield. Unfortunately in right field, but still happy. I always used to sit 500s or baseline, so I'm looking forward to the new vantage point. Not looking forward to having the screens flash Votto homer updates during the game, and having to hide my crankiness at losing my FCBL matchup, but I'll survive.Street meat ftw.
