Sngwiz Suggestion Question

Recommended Posts

So, I was reviewing some of my hands from a couple tournaments I played earlier, and running them through SNG when this hand came up and I wondered if it may be a leak in my game that I'm starting to find or if it's something that I should just write off. Here's the hand:8 Handed blinds are at 200/400/25Stacks Are:SB - 2605BB - 315UTG - 3140UTG+1 - 3765Hero - 3011HJ - 2555CO - 6942 Button - 6110Hero Dealt (Qh, Js)Action:BB is All in for 315, UTG Bets 825, UTG+1 folds, Hero??Now, SNGWiz is saying I should be reshoving here....So, should I really be reshoving with QJos here? I feel like in the $1.10 45mans I get called so light most of the time that any KT+ and any ace is going to call me so is it really going to be profitable in the end? Maybe when you're playing higher stakes and people respect raises more I could see this being a shove, but it just seems to be -EV to be shoving into calling stations with these types of hands at this level of play.On the flip side I do understand that I have less than 10bb's and I need to be getting them in at some point, but shouldn't I be looking to get hands like this in with vigorish? I haven't done much with SNG and I'm really just starting to look into it and play around with it, so it's also entirely possible that I have some settings wrong somewhere =P. Just thought I'd bring it up for discussion.EDIT: As a side note, I have no reads on the villain as I just moved to the table and have only played a few hands.

This is a great question, and I hope it gets a lot of discussion. If it's me I fold thinking I am prob dead to a Queen (3 outs) or at best need to hit a Jack or Queen (6 outs).

Yeah, I just think Q high is going to be good 0% of the time here vs. most of the villains UTG betting range. I don't really see why he'd be flat out trying to steal knowing he's going to have to showdown with the BB anyway. I keep thinking about it and for the life of me I see zero reasons to shove in this spot, so I was hoping someone could bring to light a different point of view if I am missing something.

yah I can't see a valid argument for QJ being good here. Maybe there is some generic math equation that we are missing but I think the problem is SNGwiz doesn't accurately put your opponents on correct ranges...or any ranges at all for that matter...

Yeah, I kind of figured that was the case but I figured I'd toss it up here for discussion just to see if anyone actually could make a valid argument for a shove.

QJ isn't fine at micro stakes. You get called very light there. If you were in a normal MTT its a good play because of the dead money out there, but even so its a UTG bet. Depends on your read, but probably 90% of time were folding and letting him have at.

This is never a shove. SNG Wiz either sucks or you're using it wrong. It's close if it's folded to you, maybe you've left out the person raising? I think I'd shove here if folded to me but it's definitely towards the bottom of what I shove.

Yeah, I folded it without even thinking about it and would've never given it a second thought had I not seen that on SNGWiz. I just didn't know if there happened to be something I was missing, guess not. Thanks guys.
