I think you might be able to get more on the turn, then shove the rest in on the river. Tell him you mean business.

i think it's fine. We have $14 or so in our stack for a river pot of $25. Easy shove. Easy call for villain.

yes yes yes. the turn bet is a made hand imo, so even a spade changes nothing imo. call and get it in very nicely on the river. every river. nice play man!

Why do you say this? Based on preflop action there should not be many draws in villain's range. If he has a Jack then it doesn't matter as stacks will go in regardless. But doesn't the stop and go keep more of his other pairs in? Isn't it more likely that hands like 66-TT will call a river but might find a fold on the turn if I shove?I feel like his made hand range is far wider than his drawing range here, so I don't understand your reasoning. Please let me know though, I'm curious.

First time I have actually responded to a thread about what to do, so this is just me....I personally would raise. If he is on the flush draw or any other draw, make him pay to see the river. He will either fold or put you all in when you raise turn. Either of those cases is a win win for you. Kosin Trouble

This is not true, and is something that you absolutely need to get out of your thinking. At no point do we want him to fold. That means the question is, is he more likely to commit on the turn when we take an extremely strong line (which this is) meaning he will need a draw, which is somewhat unlikely given preflop action and the board. Or, is he more willing to call off on a river, blank or otherwise, when our line doesnt look as strong?

hmmm, sorry if this is hi-jacking your thread... if it is, let me know and I will start a new thread. I am having trouble understanding this line of thought.I think he is on a flush draw, that is in the range I think. Seen to many people chase those flushes like no tomorrow. Given I do not play at your stakes, so they may be different.I am thinking we have the nuts as the board lays. There is a chance the villian also has trips, in which case we clearly have him dominated and he will call the all in on the turn. If he has Jx we have him crushed and he may still call your all in. So the only real threat to beat our hand is the flush draw. Which still leaves him with 9 outs. So my thinking is I would rather take down the pot now or make him pay too much to see that final card and a shot at his flush. If he is on the flush and hits it on the river we cant exactly fold, we still need to shove and hope he wasnt on the flush draw, but is that worth the risk? Isnt it better to get all the money in first before the river when we are the favorite as opposed to the river and possibly dead?I guess I keep hearing its better to win the pot now then risk losing to a draw, that is where I got my thinking. a stop and go here could easily get value from a large % of his range. it gets worst hands in on the river, yes yes yes and yes! i really love this play here personally

Why do you say this?

Mostly because I hate donking the river with *any* of my range. There's probably a ton of merrit to what your suggested line is... but I just hate it tbh

I just bet/call the turn...yea he folds sometimes but w/e, I just try to get max value from my hand
