Good/bad Iso $2/5 Live Hand Play?

I'll just get right into it... the fact that 1 limper chooses to call my $20 raise, and the other goes all in for $40 after my raise...the all-in shorty has a wiiiiide range....and the small chance he has me dominated...anyways, this is the hand:UTG - calls $5UTG + 1 calls $5foldfoldfoldCutoff/hero raises to $20 ($340) - K 7 Button foldsSB calls $20 ($300ish)BB calls $20 ($500ish)UTG calls $15 ($600ish)UTG + 1 goes all in for $40 totalHero decides to raise all in $340I figure, $80 in dead money (which is my $20 + the other 3 callers) + $40 (the shorty stack). That's $120 to my $340 raise...whatever the odds are. Assuming they will all fold, which they will probably over 90% of the time, even if they put me on steal. I go heads up against the shorty, whom I assign a wide range to. So I look at it $20 to win $120.What do you think?

With two limpers, I don't think making it $20 originally is enough. $25 is better and $30 might even work. Other than that, I like the thought process with shoving to isolate the dead money. None of the other limpers could possibly be trapping so, unless they decide to make a hero call with something like 88 or 99, you are in decent shape.

I've done this before but there has to be pretty specific circumstances, as in all the callers are "floppers" who have uncallable hands. Also, whenever I do this, it immediately causes a huge debate on the table. Theoretically, I don't have to be ahead of EVERYONE'S range, I just have to be competitive with the all-in's range because no one else is going to call.

Rumsey, understand the nature of some live games. It happens sometimes that you sit with 3 or 4 people who limp or call every raise but NEVER EVER EVER 3 bet or ever conceive of calling a shove with less than AA KK. They are there to see flops and catch big hands. They are 99% unlikely to call a shove. It's that percentage that makes this play profitable. It has the added benefit of distorting ranges from weak players, pumping overall action, which is very desirable.

This is like 65% of live donkies, imo.And yeah, puke. Just throw in the extra $20 and hope to flop huge.

Don't iso-raise with hands like this against EP limpers, especially when they only have $40. I mean, you wouldn't call a $40 shove from the UTG+1 player would you? I know you're saying, he'll fold sometimes, but I think that players who only have 8BBs aren't often folding when they decide to enter a pot.So, don't raise this hand in the first place. Aside from that, the shove over his raise is pretty good cause now you get HU with him and there's a ton of dead money in the pot to make your play profitable.
