SBriand 4
Just read through it. Just tried to put as much into this as I could to get things going and gauge final interest. Comment, change, flame, troll, whatever. Just trying to get this going. :)Auction Draft for first 15 rounds on yahoo.... http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/430695 (password will be PM'ed)Message board for league..... http://fcpbl.activeboard.com/index.sparkLEAGUE SETTINGSEach team will consist of 30 roster players (2 Pitching Teams minimum) and up to a 30 player farm team.Depending on number of players in the league this is the set up10 teams - 2 divisions of 5 teams, top 2 in each division make the playoffs12 teams – 3 divisions of 4 teams, top teams in each division go on and two wildcards.15 teams – 3 divisions of 5, top teams in each division go on and two wildcards.Teams will dress each game night the following:C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF’s, 1 Utility and 1 Pitching teamGames will be played in a series much like regular baseball. There will be 3 game series and some 4 game series. All game nights will feature each MLB team. ( I could throw in some short nights on 4 game series to make it interesting)We need to discuss a tie breaker/Extra inning player type rule that I haven’t figured out yet. Could be similar where you designate one batter with (EI) and that players score will go against the other teams (EI) player. If still a tie, then a tie?Lineups must be posted within 1 hour of the first pitch of the first MLB game of that night. We need to discuss a penalty for not submitting lineup (scoring wise)SALARIESEach team will start off with $75. The first 15 players on the team will be drafted by auction draft. (Need to find a site that might do auction leagues and just do it that way). The next 15 players will be drafted normally in snake draft order with these salaries based on the round they were selected:16th – 18th round: $1.5019th – 22nd round $1.0023rd – 30th round $.50You can add a maximum of 2 free agents to your roster per week, beginning on Sunday, providing they are FCPBL elegibe, are not currently on waivers, and will not put your roster over 30 active players. All free agents will carry a set salary of $1.00. To pick up a free agent, you must post a message in the transactions section of wherever we can find. You may also be required to drop a player to keep your current roster at 28 active players. FCPBL eligible means that they have dressed at least 1 MLB regular season game in their career, and at least 1 week has passed since their first MLB game has been played.. Any player that is acquired (traded for or free agent) after the deadline of a gameday is not eligible to play that night. If they are acquired before the deadline, then they are eligible to dress that day. If you drop a player that is in the final year of his contract, you are free of his salary. However, if you want to drop a player that has 1 or more years remaining after the current season on their contract, you must buy that player out for half of his contract PER SEASON. Example: You sign Player A to a 3 year contract at 6.00, 7.00, 8.00. A week into season 1, he decides he wants to see the world and smoke dope. $3.00 comes off your cap season 1, $3.50 season 2, $4.00 season 3.No Injured Reserves (YES DUANE THAT MEANS YOU! lol)ContractsThis is not my area of expertise. Most of this I am modeling after the FCHL. I know there are other people here from the AHL and I am more than happy to model stuff after that as well, I am just simply unaware of your rules. The FCHL contract rules base the contracts on performance. The better the performance of the player in comparison to the league the bigger then salary increase. We need to determine this somehow.Farm TeamsFarm team is built on an annual entry draft. Players eligible for the 1st annual entry draft are players that were in A, AA, or AAA in the 2009 MLB season (played less than 20 games on the big club??? Maybe) and players selected in the 2009 MLB Entry Draft. 5 Rounds, snake draft.Salaries for drafted players1st Round - $22nd Round- $1.503rd -4th Round $15th Round - $.50Farm players can be called up at any point during the season at their specified salary. I think the AHL allows players to be called up and then sent down. I would be interested in doing something like that here since. Any ideas would be great. The Entry Draft order will be random for the first season. All other season will need to be determined since I know everyone has an idea on this. Lottery style, reverse order, loser games during the playoffs, etc.FREE AGENT DRAFTEvery offseason (Feb or March) we will have a free agent draft where we will bid on all players who are: a) not currently on a team B) have dressed at least 1 MLB game This will be done to help you bring your roster up to 30 players. It will be auction style.TRADINGBefore the trade deadline you can trade any commodities which include:-Roster Players-Salary Cap-Farm Players-Entry Draft Picks -Waiver Priority-Also can add conditions to your tradesScheduleThis is the schedule I made. I am serious about helping make this all work and I am pretty geeked about it. We could start with 10, and if all goes well expand next season to 12-15. Pick this apart, add, subtract, whatever. Just a template to get this ball going down the hill faster.I think we can use espn or something to run the auction draft for the first draft and then use a message board or something for the rest of the draft. Speed Limit 0
I may have missed this in here somewhere because I skimmed it, but are we each putting up $75 or is that just the salary figure that is given to each team?

SBriand 4
I think we said $30 in the other thread. I am fine with that. $25 if need be. But I don't want to go more than $30.
wsox8 10
I'm fine with $25. Serge can pay for me because he'll owe me that at the end of the nhl season
SBriand 4
Draft date needs to be set for the auction draft. Should take about 3 hours give or take 20 minutes depending on 10 or 12 players. The only day I can't do it is March 28th. I am free any other day.So post up days or dates you can't and we will try and set a time that works and gives us at least a week of prep time.
