$1/$2 FullTiltPreflop: econ_tim1 fold, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, econ_tim calls, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.Flop: (7 SB) [9s 5s 8c] (7 players)SB bets, 3 calls, econ_tim 2 folds, 4 calls.Turn: (8.5 BB) [Qs] (5 players)4 checks, [b]econ_tim 3 calls, 1 fold.[b]River: (12.5 BB) [9c]3 checks, [b]econ_tim ...This is a loose game, so I'm comfortable limping with K9s.Do I check the river? What about the rest?

Why would you check the river after betting that turn? Not wild about the limp, but it looks justified in this case based on all the other limps.Pretty standard stuff here, except for the turn bet. I suppose that's continuation though...

For the river, I'm last to act, so I can see a free showdown if I check. For the turn, I'm last to act again, and I don't want to give a free card to someone with a spade.

Fair enough. Considering you got a third three, you should bet that river if you were good at the turn. If you weren't good on that turn, you should have probably checked behind.

looks good to me. i bet that turn everytime. after no aggression is shown on the turn i think the river bet is automatic. you'll probably even be raised by the SB who presumably holds a weaker 9.

check the river...boy what you smoking, cause I ran out and sounds like you have some GOOD shit!I doubt there is a flush out there unless the table is so passive that people don't raise or bet with a flush.Flop bet is good as no one has shown strength. Bet on turn is good to see if someone made a hand...It's all calls so that tells you little to nothing.Bet the river. Cackle as well when you take down the pot.

Exactly. Then again, I had a guy check down a flopped four of a kind all the way last night. He even thanked me for telling him "Nice" hand...

Yeah. I see it is an easy decision. I guess I was just disappointed with the results. SB flopped the straight. Don't uderstand why he didn't 3-bet the flop to protect his hand, but then I don't understand a lot of things people do.

Maybe he thinks a flopped straight beats a flush.JFarrell does play on Full Tilt, after all.
