The biggest one for me personally was when we picked up Chelios. Such a hated player in Detroit and when I heard the news ( I was in physical therapy learning how to walk again) we all stopped and were stunned that such a jerk was going to be a Wing. We had great personalities and characters and now Chelios? Ugh. Didn't take long though to understand that he was a guy you wanted on your team.Also remember the day we got Shanny. I think his first shift he got into a fight right off the face off. That helped get him on the fans good side.Ahhh, but no trades coming this year I presume. Oh well. Sorry that was a bit off-topic. Now that he's a Leaf the over hyping by many will get worse but it's possible that his level of overratingness may actually go down since every little mistake that he makes will be under the Toronto media microscope.
