I think I'd raise and try and get this in for sure, only downside is if he folds we never get to find out if we would have made a royal or not.

I like checking behind on the turn w/your hand nutzcase; we don't mind getting it in otf, but on the turn our equity has dropped significantly, there aren't many worse hands that can call save worse FDs, and we're in positionedit: never mind we're out of position. In that case I don't know what I do, maybe check and hope he bets small; I 3-bet pf arrrday w/my suited ace

Man tough hand because you're deep. He's not repping much but I guess he has KQ always here as it's a hand he'd call and not 3-bet with pf, and he'd peel one off on the flop given the stack depth. You can also be very strong and he doesn't care...nice fold I think; I really doubt he's going nuts with JT

I did have a few good hands last night. took the forum's advice and stopped betting ace-high flops in 3-bet pots to some success. kinda torn on the turn, because there are some draws out there, and I'd rather get value from them, and it's just so unlikely that he's going to try and fire a shell on the river if he doesn't improve. bleh. oop poker sucksyet another loose button opener who has a biggish pair!Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comMP ($22.79)CO ($39.59)Button ($25)Hero (SB) ($25)BB ($18.86)UTG ($26.24)Preflop: Hero is SB with Q :club:, A :D3 folds, Button bets $0.75, Hero raises to $2.50, 1 fold, Button calls $1.75Flop: ($5.25) 4 :ts, J :D, A :4h (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75Turn: ($10.75) 3 :D (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $7.25, Hero calls $7.25River: ($25.25) J :qh (2 players)Hero checks, Button checksTotal pot: $25.25 | Rake: $1.26Results:Button had 10 :3h, 10 :jh (two pair, Jacks and tens).Hero had Q :5c, A :D (two pair, Aces and Jacks).Outcome: Hero won $23.99

I went to the casino to play some 200nl last night. The players were fairly loose and you could tell they followed poker to a certain degree. They didn't bet ridiculously low or high amounts, nor were they playing every single hands they got. Though, probably influenced from your typical high-octane poker shows, they loved to play all sort of ''potential'' hands, ranging from low suited to double gappers and such. In fact, my biggest pot was when i doubled with AK suited, after raising a straddle followed by 4 limps. I had 150 in front of me raised to 26, which was way too high. But oddly enough, only the blinds and 1 limper folded. The flop was A-3-6 with 2 clubs. I betted what was probably about half the pot, or possibly a tad less. All of them folded except 1 who shoved. I called and was facing j-7 suited for the flush draw.. my hand held. 1. I know many noticed my tight play before that hand, which they probably threw out of proportion due to their own looseness. 2. I know they value their trickeries and wild plays over a solid game, which they also probably throw out of proportion. The AK hand is a good example, but not the only instance i noticed.Overall, i wasn't satisfy of my session. My focus wasn't constant and i made a few plays out of nowhere without giving it much thoughts. Most importantly, i didn't have much of a game plan, if at all. Analyzing an undergoing hand is also a pain; i find myself considering many possible holdings one could have, but i'm uncapable of giving those any weights. Every action he has taken can mean something, or the total opposite so really i'm not going anywhere. In other words, i have a hard time coming to any conclusions regardless of how many details i got. I therefor find myself playing fairly tight-weak, against players who are bluffing and raising a lot. Aside from a few hands, i found i generally playing better after i won the AK hand. Or at least, i was more comfortable with placing chips in the middle.Any words of wisdom?
