Since the Q and J of diamonds were locked up, and the most likely hand with the A or K of diamonds is AK (which he probably 4bets pre).So unless he was going to defend Ad10d or Kd10d, I think I should have the nuts here the majority of the time.
he has 85ddHow can you rule out any combos of suited anything? I am not suggesting fold or anything I am just surprised

I would fold because if he was to bluff it would be on the turn. After checking twice and betting he has something.
I had trouble believing he'd check the turn w/ the nuts or a FD or a better pair or basically anythingshows what I know.

He won't do it all the time, but he will some of the time. When you check the flop and bet the turn, Some villains will c/r because you can't have the nuts and "their line doesn't make sense" so regs are more likely to call them down light. Even though most people just won't take this line as a bluff ever and are more likely to c/f a flush draw then c/r it. Doesn't stop people going "I have the top of my range" and getting pwn'ed hard. I think that when you check the flop, alot of the people who take this line will not often have a hand that can call two streets (you had air and turned a hand you still couldn't call two streets with) so most villains with air will just bet the turn. If they don't bet the turn it because they have weak show down value (Qx,JJ-22) or think that you are too likely to call down (ch flop with KJ,KT,QJ,QT and not going anywhere) So on the river, when they bet they either have a monster hand that failed the c/r(very rarely), A hand like Qx that has the easiest value bet of all time imo (a good amount) or air that decided while you were to likely to call down two streets if they bet turn, that just betting river should work (unlikely)

Playing low limits and actually having to value bet 100% of the time is ****ing hard.

No it isn't. Buy one of those hand ranking charts, pretend you are playing bingo and watch a movie.

Movie might help. Iono I just get annoyed because at times I forget that I'm not playing actual poker and people are just looking at their cards and not even doing that right. I accidentally start thinking if I'm being floated, or squeezed, or if I should double barrel, and have to maintain discipline to remember no... they does stuff cuz "i hasses XY and Z could come ooh looky PURTY PURTY CARDS"

I'm never confident in these spots. it's just a situation asking to be "coolered." I feel bad felting this hand here, but I feel even worse folding it if we ARE raised. villain's tight and I don't see him paying off much worseFull Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comHero (SB) ($25)BB ($14.78)UTG ($33.13)MP ($30.15)CO ($25)Button ($25.35)Preflop: Hero is SB with A :club:, Q :5c2 folds, CO bets $0.60, Button calls $0.60, Hero raises to $2.85, 2 folds, Button calls $2.25Flop: ($6.55) 7 :3h, 3 :qh, A :4h (2 players)Hero bets $3.50, 1 foldTotal pot: $6.55 | Rake: $0.32Results:Hero didn't show A :ts, Q :jh.Outcome: Hero won $6.23

I tend to just bet/fold unless I have a good read on villain.

yeah I used to regard TPTK (or AQ here which is basically equivalent to AK since BTN never has AK) in a 3-bet pot as instafeltable. The number of nitty as opposed to hyperaggro regs is forcing me to rethink that outlook. I've not been felted in a spot like this in a while but, judging by how these guys play, it's unlikely that they're just gonna raise here with AJ, unless it's AhJh. Then you have to consider the possibility of a cheap bluff on the ace-scare card, though, if you're min-raised, and the silliness of raising 33/77 in position here. Readless poker Bl0Wz.

Something I learned from the oldheads who don't come here anymore (prolly 4bb now). Check 100% of your range OOP when you're the 3bettor and the flop is ace high. Proceed from there and find out why it is lovely.
