At 25NL don't be afraid to just auto c-bet. It's actually a better strategy there than not doing it nearly often enough.

Just got slow rolled by some random with aces, time to take an automatic weapon to the nearest crowded public space.

QUOTE (BaseJester)
"Mixing it up" doesn't magically rationalize anything you do. It's like you walk up to a pencil sharpener, pencil in hand, and think, "Everyone expects me to sharpen this pencil, but I'm going to mix it up." Then you whip out your cock and sharpen that instead and yell, "Ha ha, bitches, you never saw that coming!" Well, no, they didn't. But you still have a dull pencil and bleeding dick.

July 2010:I started playing on a stake around July 16th and started off playing mainly .25 and 1.40(KO) 90-mans on Pokerstars. Then the last 30 games I switched to the 1.40(KO) single tables which take less time to play but seem to be a little more difficult to beat the rake especially when you run like I did near the bubble(as seen in the chart) :ts . Anyway, I think I'm going to get back to the 90 mans for August.Posted ImagePosted ImageAugust 2010 Goals:-Play 120 games(.25 90 mans). I want to set it kind of low to get a feel of how many I can play because with the wife/kids sometimes putting in sessions can be difficult.-Profit-Be rolled for the 1.40 KO 90-mans by the end of Aug. if not sooner.-Post more hands and get involved in more strat discussions. I tend to feel intimidated getting involved in discussion since I am a micro sng player :club: .-Be playing on my own dime. My stake started at $22 and the plan is to split $75/$45 when I hit $122. Currently at $39.

OMFG... live 1/2 NL is easy but it's like waiting 10 hours for the busoh, UTG limp raised me? I guess kings are no good...oh, I got raised holding bottom 2? guess this is an easy foldoh, the crazy asian guy opened from the button I flatted with AJhh and the flop came 2-3-3 rainbow, better close my eyes and call down the impending 3 barrels
3 good points, although if you're raised on the flop holding bottom two, ur good A LOT. It's usually TPTK or a flush/straight draw. When you get raised on the turn and river at 1/2 though, it's a different story.

forgot to add my resluts for July.Had a really good month. Continued playing HU and had pretty good results. my volume sucked horribly but that was because i was working tons of hours at my job IRL.They were super busy this month and offered unlimited overtime. i normally work 33hrs/week, which is about 132hrs/month. well in July i worked 226 hrs. so i blame that as part of the reason i couldnt put in lots of volume.6,900 hands - $750 profit - all 50nl HUbest month by about $400, pretty exciting!next month plan on putting in more volume and watching more vids.

Last month, sure. Last month, the river could've been a blank, and I still would've lost the hand somehow.Running super hot right now though, and picked a good time to do so on my 2nd shot at 25nl. Only played about 1700 hands this month, but I'm running at about 23.75BB/100.It's actually making me going over hands more throughly though, because I want to make sure I'm actually playing good as well, and not just getting dealt the deck.

And what I think is important to think about in that hand is relative hand strength. Although top two and nfd looks fantastic, if we shove the turn, are we really gonna get called by anything worse? Prob not, only made floooshes and sets, right?

I tried to post a bunch earlier but I was having "technical difficulties", will try again tomorrow. Been playing some rush 10NL today, rush is pretty fun but brings out the LAG in me, not sure if this is a good thing or not. Double barreled someone earlier, gave up on the river and won with 6 high. Nice life imo.
