I'd like a c/jam there a lot more if we had like the Ac or Kc for some back door equities, or even better AKcc!I don't really like the root beer there Cobalt OOP because that board just smacks him in his face and he can happily float a ton of backdoor draws etc

Well then I definitely wouldn't be reading anything he writesAlso the argument for folding AK there, I would probably fold AK against like nobody. If you give him credit for being a good player you have to also give him credit for being able to 3b light in that spot for purely that reason. Similarly if you think somebody's a bad player they can 3bet all sorts of retarded hands like AQ or w/e. Like even against a range of AA/KK/QQ/AK, AK has 40% equity which makes it close. Meh it's prob fine but like, I just love how preflop has turned into the nit war in a lot of spots and ranges just get progressively tighter. Like OMG he only 3bets AA-QQ/AK I better only 4bet AA/KK, etc. Not saying that was your thought process there, but I think it is a big big leak of non-optimal thinking by a lot of ssnl players.
If you are talking about my hand, i 3-bet'ed. I don't give him credits for being good, i give him credits for not being massive donk (those who stack off with suited connectors preflop for example). And i'm not really thinking of folding, just check/calling it down (though it stil crossed my mind). In short, my argument is that Check/calling > leading out in this spot. I can keep the pot small OOP in what i consider a marginal spot + i can get him to bet weak. PS: Wait.. AK = 40% vs AA/KK/QQ/AK on that flop? No way, you ain't talking about my hand..

wasn't talking about your hand :)But in your hand, I definitely don't have checking flop. But on the turn, you are still way ahead, like he can have so many random aces that call a 3bet, he can call one off with TT or like KQ or KJ (pairs + gutshots) etc. Definitely too much value to not bet. If the river blanks and you think he is kinda bluffy I guess you could check/call to get value from the missed draws he bluffs, but in this spot where he have a TPTK type hand in a 3bet pot it's generally just better to bet when you are basically never behind and let them decide what kind of garbage they want to call with.

I put a short stacker on monkey tilt last night. He beat me with AK vs my KK AIPF and then I crushed his soul with the standard set over set 99 vs 88 all in on the flop followed by JJ > QJ AIPF the next hand. After that he just started shoving any two. Chalk one up for the good guys?

Meh, bitching is counter productive.I do love the AQ vs JT hand.It proves that the more "buttons" you give the villains to click, the more they can make mistakes.
