DROBERTS and I have decided we want a thread to help organize and motivate us micro grinders. We want a place to talk strat, post graphs, hands, questions, etc. And of course to bitch about beats and variance

We encourage all micro/small-stakes guys to get involved as we grind and move up the stakes.

We're planning to move up when we have 25 buy-ins for the next limit, and dropping down if you lose 5-10 buy-ins.

Firstly, Dustin (I'm not gonna write droberts every time I refer to you) and I are currently playing 10nl

Then... here's my first spot. Is this a good spot to keep betting? Balugawhale and other DC coaching are always saying at the micros to just value bet until they give you a reason to believe you're beat.

James, first hand fold is fine. Second hand I prefer bet/folding the turn, and c/c'ing all blank rivers. There's a ton of draws and 65 type hands that we'll get value from on the turn but not the river.

I'd c/f spades, and some cards that hit straight draws and stuff

I can't see a "good river" that I'd c/c,like if an off suit 2 comes and he bets again I still don't think I'm good, but we'd look at the pot odds and such...

So much of his range is PPs and whiffed overs and you only lose to 77 and 99, but you crush TT JJ etc. If you think he floats overs you can c/r or c/c but I think his range is heavily weight toward 88-JJ and we're crushing that range;)

Shove the turn. Villain is unlikely to have a 6x hand, AA and KK usually 4 bet preflop. Players at 10NL will call with TT, JJ, A9, and maybe 87 depending on how loose they open UTG and call a 3 bet.

I think the micros encompass like 25nl and below and small-stakes nl is 50nl to 200nl with mid-stakes starting at 400nl
